  1. Man there were like, 10 plays The 18 inning game - too many chances to end that game to even list. Game 6 - runners 2nd and 3rd with nobody out in the ninth. Expectation is 2 runs to tie. No runs. Why and how did Kike Hernandez even get to that ball? Game 6 - Barger's lodged ball was annoying to me mostly because that swing and contact is so close to being a HR swing. Game 7: Kirk just needs a flyball to tie the game. Double play, WS over. Varsho just needs a flyball to win the game. Groundball. IKF just needs a better lead or slide. No. Gimenez lineout slash that would have made it 5-2 Vlad 380 foot flyout bottom 9 that would have won the WS. 101 mph with that launch angle is a homer 70% of the time. Ernie gapper somehow run down by Pages. Jays relievers hang offspeed pitches horribly in the 8th, 9th, and 11th and the Dodgers never miss. WHY DIDN'T YESAVAGE JUST FINISH THIS GAME!?
  2. What is the deal with Berrios, anyway? Never saw him all playoffs. Was he even with the team? Any reporting?
  3. The statistical improbability of losing game 7, game 6, and the 18 inning game, the way that it happened, with those specific events happening, is staggering. So staggering that I now believe in a higher power. I am no longer an Atheist. God exists and he hates the Blue Jays.
  4. Salt in the wound. Jays robbed of multiple Gold Gloves.
  5. The Dodgers players keep saying they know what to do because they were down 2-1 in the NLDS in 2024 I dunno, man. Doesn't feel like the same thing!
  6. what do we think Shulman's call will be on Kirk's walk off homer tonight? I think he just screams "TOUCH EM ALL KIRK" over and over
  7. Blake Snell is right, baseball involves a lot of luck. The perception that Yamamoto is a sure thing right now is not supported by facts. Look at all these red/pink outs from Jays hitters last game. The Jays did not have a bad plan or approach last time. Everything else could stay the same and they might end up getting several runs off him. Batter PA In. Result Exit Velo LA Hit Dist. 8. .302 xwOBA against Scamamoto last time. Not bad. Dare I say - Scamamoto is overrated and due for a stinker?
  9. can't sleep can't eat can't blink can't talk can't work can't poop
  10. cheap home run complaints should definitely be saved for: Yankee Stadium RF wall scrapers Fenway RF pesky pole pop fly homers 320 foot Crawford Box Jose Altuve specials Honestly Fenway is the worst, they need to demolish that dump. I think all of the shortest homers ever are Fenway RW idiot zone
  11. Not the worst idea but if they didn't do it in game 3 I don't think they would do it in game 7 The problem is they only have one LHRP they trust (Flu) so they probably want to save that bullet for a leverage situation if it happens If they had Little and Fluharty cooking then I could get behind it Yesavage as the opener would be fun
  12. Right I forgot about Bassitt. He could go anywhere from 1 to 3 innings in 6. And then maybe an inning in 7 too if needed.
  13. Elite game from Alan Porter Those balls for Edgardo Henriquez, the pitcher was all over the place, earning no benefit of the doubt, and I think those were loopy breaking balls This is what is expected from an ump in the World Series I also love how the home plate ump in game 4 was yelling his calls out so loudly, lol
  14. Dodgers will still be the on-paper favourites in games 6 and 7 because of the pitching matchups Gausman vs. Yamamoto tilts heavily their way, maybe a 60-40 game And then game 7 is what... Scherzer supported by Bieber (2 IP? 1 IP?) and maybe Yesavage (1 P?) vs. Glasnow supported by Ohtani and Snell Some chatter about Ohtani being used as an opener for a possible game 7, something to do with not losing the DH when he comes out Would love to see them get some runs off Yamamoto early or work him so he can't throw 7 innings I have been expecting a Roki Sasaki blown save this series, maybe tomorrow is the day!
  15. He's sort of right, sort of wrong Yeah Schneider jumped him and it wasn't a horrible pitch and it also could have died on the warning track, but you still decided to throw him that fastball and lost the chess match and it wasn't exactly a good pitch The Vlad pitch was just horrible, choice and execution Varsho triple was luck, at least two bases of it, but the Clement sac fly that followed actually had a .460 xBA Kirk had a 108 mph .560 xBA groundout in the 6th The Barger hit was lucky but the IKF out that followed could have been a hit He had 5 outs on 95+ mph balls in play (Yesavage had two, for comparison, but one of them was Call's .190 xBA 95 mph "lineout") I wonder if Blake Snell learned a lot?
  16. Going to force my 6 year old to stay up and watch every remaining inning I'll f***ing put coffee in his juice if I need to
