Really though, Bautista can't play 3rd worth s*** anymore and Edwin could never play 3B worth s*** or LF at all. Saunders with the knee injury and no meniscus is probably a poor CF going forward too.

According to StatCast, Pompey's mean route efficiency in the centre field is 98.14% whereas Kevin Pillar's median route efficiency in the left field is 98.26 but Pompey edges him in top speed and closing speed by close to two knots and his legs are about 4.67 cm longer in length although Pillar has girthier thighs by about 2 inches around FWIW but on the contrary to that Pillar is hotter than him defensively by about 2.6 degrees Kelvin right now so really it's anybody's game that's all I'm trying to say is what the stats say.

Haha, well they might have been cheap but it's not like they were completely punting 6th and 8th round picks. Was Graveman one of the $5000 guys? I've never been a fan of the amount of arms that Toronto takes in the draft but I do like what they've been doing the last few years in getting a good mix of high school and college guys. Having high ceiling arms like Sachez and Norris (2010 and 2011) come through at the same time as high floor guys like Boyd (2013) is pretty nice.

Gonzalez is junk too, but for some reason his existence is not as annoying. Wei-Yin Chen is their best SP probably. Well, in the rotation currently. Gausman is really good. I guess Toronto's rotation without Stroman is basically just as terrible.

Problem with statcast right now is the announcers have no idea what to do with it. They just say what the spin rate, exit velocity, and route efficiency are. I don't want to know what the route efficiency is when a guy makes a great catch - I want to know how rare the catch is relative to other outfielders considering first step, range, and efficiency.
