  1. Every catcher in history thinks about / has thought about / has tried to get better at receiving.
  2. The Dioner Navarro mold
  3. Yes please. Pinto is killing it. Take him off of C and he might be a legit DH.
  4. Nice. It will be interesting to see what DRA means in terms of luck in small sample sizes. Interesting that they have bad ERAs and FIPs but decent DRA.
  5. 100% The bullpen is fine IMO. Osuna, Castro, Cecil, Loup, Hendriks, Estrada should be solid as a group. No concerns with any of them so far. All of the SP have essentially been replacement level or worse, lol.
  6. I dunno, maybe it's just hard to euphemism up "uhhh.... be better and throw really hard again, plz".
  7. It's about talent. Delabar was a sack of s*** in 2014 and until his K rate is up around 10+ per 9 innings in Buffalo, he's probably still that sack of s***.
  8. "Around Baseball"
  9. I might roll your statement back a little bit but you're pretty much right. It's the vesting option for 2016 that's the killer. He gets $13M guaranteed if he finishes 48 games this year. Some team might be wiling to pay around $15M total for him, but that's with giving up nothing, essentially his FA value (comp Balfour, K-Rod, and Romo). So at a minimum I think Philly needs to eat about $11M (including what they've already paid him this year) to get rid of him, and that's just to save money, so they wouldn't get any players back.
  10. Philly would give Papelbon to any team that would take his contract, lol.
  11. Get a surprise Correa promotion, trade for 1 or 2 real bats, and you could finish promisingly high in the standings. Not playoffs or .500 but maybe like, 15th or something.
  12. Annnnnd Lowrie tore a thumb ligament
  13. I feel like I've been treated to the full Clay Buchholz experience in just two starts. Blessed. Of course his 2.72 FIP actually dropped a bit today, so there's that.
  14. What is the deal with Puig's injury? Just got offered him + Kluber for Stanton and Grilli (in a lazy league). Easy accept of course, unless he has something serious.
  15. Jeff Samardzija is the better lazy stupid comp.
  16. Just because we already know that Angels fans are the worst in the league, look what HalosHeaven posted this morning (and then took down): http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://www.halosheaven.com/2015/4/27/8505953/adios-angels-addict-hamilton-denies-any-relapse-responsibility
  17. Pulled his bicep or something vague and weird and uncomfortably close to his elbow like that
  18. Side arming lefty that throws about 87mph. It's very weird that he's not in AA, as a mature LOOGY prospect. They won't really know if he's an actual MLB prospect until he gets to AA.
  19. Interesting turn of events indeed. Trade me Archer.
  20. Sad updates: Homer Bailey broke and Shin Soo Chop is hitting .098
  21. Julio Urias watch! 6 IP 1 H 0 BB 10 K faced the minimum. With Dodgers SP dropping like flies, I wonder if we'll see him this year
