  1. Anything can happen with Alex Anthopoulos. The man could literally move a mountain and it would be a less impressive feat than moving Wells' contract or acquiring Josh Donaldson.

So KD was at Price's debut today in Toronto, and he's on Drake's side: Kevin Durant ‏@KDTrey5 Haha the boy too good #6ickos Future Raptor?
  3. Dickey has a 3.99 ERA as a Blue Jay, in almost 3 years. Leake has a career 4.17 FIP and 3.86 ERA in the NL. He's probably a ~4.20 ERA guy in the AL East. Maybe worse. I'd take Dickey over Leake in 2016. But, there are other ways to cut the stats to suit other arguments and I will acknowledge that.
  4. smells like Lorenzen to me. you should try reeeeeaaallllly hard to trade him before the stats get bad.
  5. All of those guys should get multi year deals, and some of them for a lot of money. The fact that Dickey is only a 1 year commitment is a luxury. It would be silly to turn down his option just so you can commit 4 or 5 years to a similar but slightly inferior talent like Leake. I love Kuma but since he's a Jap, I doubt he'll leave the West coast. Kazmir will get big money like Ervin Santana (maybe more). Gallardo is a real time bomb, and his peripherals are garbage this year.
  6. I think Dickey's option is $12M. The Blue Jays will need to either pick up Dickey's option or convince Buehrle to return. Hopefully both. They've traded all of the decent upper minors SP depth, so the innings will be crucial. The closest legitimate SP prospects are in Lansing and below so they won't even be serious options in 2017. Maybe if they lose in the Wild Card game or something like that, Buehrle will be thirsty enough to come back for one more year. Dickey is on pace for another comfortably above average year, by RA9-WAR. I don't see any reason not to pick up his option. Stroman Buehrle (please) Dickey Hutch Trade Saunders for someone? Maybe deal Edwin? Try to attract Colon on a one year deal? Buy way low on Bud Norris? Mid-sized deal for Wei-Yin Chen, Mike Leake, Doug Fister, or Ian Kennedy? I doubt they throw money at a SP like Kuma, Zimmerman, Shark, etc. But they didn't trade all of their SP prospects without some plan for 2016.
  7. Not even. He probably sits at like 80mph. Think Chad Bradford.
  8. I love Ben Rowen. Minor league career: 262.1 IP 1.89 ERA 2.69 FIP 63.8% GB .271 BABIP against Basically, he's as extreme as a GB pitcher gets and he's been an elite run preventer in the minor leagues. Hopefully he sticks around for 2016 and gets a pen job.
  9. 9th round. To be fair, more than 1/2 of the names from that round are worth zilch now. Also, Spanky took the wrong Peralta in R7 and ended up with Joel instead of Johnny.
  10. Jesus Christ dinger, take some f***ing cats from North, please.
  11. Should I just drop Burnett? What's the quickest somebody can come back from elbow inflammation?
  12. Colabello has hit slightly better, projects to hit slightly better, and makes a bit less money.
  13. Twitter is dumb. Everyone is butthurt that Toronto DFA'd Valencia. The guy has no position and his only skill is hitting lefties, which the lineup at large is obviously already nails at.
  14. Apparently the Blue Jays told the Tigers they could pick any prospect to headline the package. Pretty glad that they picked Norris instead of Pompey/Alford. Not sure what the f*** is wrong with Norris but his peripherals in AAA this year are terrible.... Sanchezian, even.
  15. Good on Philly for getting a legit haul for Hamels. Williams and Alfaro are 55+ OFP position players, Thompson is solid, Asher sounds interesting, and Matt Harrison can eat some innings for them in between back surgeries. Word on Gomez is that the Mets pulled the plug after seeing the medicals on his hip. Not good for TCA either way. I almost traded for Gomez twice this year... I offered Scherzer straight up early in the year and he did not accept.
  16. Jose Peraza and Alex Wood for Olivera? Don't really like that for Atlanta.
  17. At least when Dinger does it, most of the time, they are s***** prospects instead of just s*****. Ex, Lorenzen.
  18. And then Rondon gets the save opp today (K's Jose Reyes to start the inning). Wow, Hector Rondon is actually very filthy. Maybe I'll keep him.
  19. They'll trade for somebody, even if it's just some #4 SP like Happ. Have to get at least one starter.
  20. Legit post-hype breakout candidate. If he plays well through August then I'd say he's earned a keeper spot.
