  1. I think it was Hurl that tried to join and they wouldnt let him.
  2. Get Norwalk virus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. This came up on PTS a few months back. Macowan, said that Beeston always wanted to be head of the Leafs, and would leave the Jays in a minute if he was offered the job.
  4. more from north of the border. •FOXSports’ Ken Rosenthal tweets that the White Sox were also interested in Lind but did not make a substantial offer. I’m not surprised the Sox did not match the Brewers’ offer. With the possible exception of Dayan Viciedo, the White Sox don’t possess a player like Estrada, i.e. an established major leaguer coming off a disappointing season.
  5. Only old people read magazines, but old people hate technology... " stereotyping ???
  6. 1. Bullpen 2. Injury replacements - AAA players 3. Colby Rasmus
  7. Has anyone heard anything about Lawrie?
  8. And the guy that exercises about one minute per day, thinks it is funny. His response was exactly the attitude that permeates this team. Time for a house cleaning.
  9. This has nothing to do with their record, and I never said it did. Yes, I expect the players to at least be able to do their jobs. Catch a ball in center field. Have a right fielder that knows which way to turn when he is running to the wall, pitchers that can come out and not walk the first player they face. Shortstops that look like they know what they are doing. Bench players or not, they made it to the majors. Play like a major leaguer.
  10. And what did going public with his discontent do for the team? Maybe they need to stop making excuses. Most of them having been playing poor baseball. Bad defense, poor hitting and bad pitching. None of that has anything to do with the fact that AA didn't improve the team. Last nights game was a prime example. If they have given up on the season, so be it. But lay blame where it belongs. On the ones that have given up.
  11. I never specifically said that Bautista had to do something. But he is supposed to be the leader of this team. Calling out management to the press, is not the way to do it. If you are happy with his play in right field lately, good for you. I don't think it has been so stellar .
  12. Maybe the players need to look at themselves, and get out there and do their jobs. Maybe Bautista would have liked it if AA had traded him to make some additions to the team. I have probably been this team's biggest cheerleader, but the play since the break has been disgusting.
  13. Read somewhere, that Casey's agent went to the Jays during the off season about an extension, but AA said no. He wanted to wait until after this season to negotiate.
  14. Thank you . Very much appreciated.!!!
  15. Well were you coming to help me?
  16. Now I know that you guys are all tech savy and always know how to find a stream for things. Does anyone know where I can get a stream for ESPN 2 or ESPN 3. Thanks for any help, anyone can give me.
  17. I think you hit the nail on the head. AA already took the top layer off the farm, and I really doubt he wanted to do it again.
  18. You need to go and read Griffin's column this morning, about doing nothing!!
  19. All reporting on the Santana incident, admitted that the trade had been approved before the players offered to chip in. When AA was first hired, he said that he is going to keep things very secretive, and that way he wouldn't have to lie. I thought that was the best interview that I have ever heard from him. He sounded angry and fed up with the people spouting that the Jays had no money. He was asked difficult questions and had logical reasons for every decision that was made. One thing that seems to have been lost in the conversation about no moves at the deadline, is that he said all the clubs that he was talking with wanted major league players. They were not interested in prospects!!!!
  20. They just had the highest viewership for a single game. They have their pitching pretty well going along smoothly. They have their 4,5,6 starters coming back to the lineup. Why would they fall out of contention. If that happens, they must have had another catastrophic bunch of injuries to their starting staff. If that happened, those same fans that were watching on Tuesday, won't blame Rogers.
  21. IMO Lester has been treated shabbily by the Sox. I guess if there is a health concern, it will come out sooner or later. But the offer they made one of the best pitchers in the AL, was insulting. Why would he go back there?
  22. according to XM radio, John Henry invested heavily in a report about how much production the team gets from pitchers over 30 years of age. He will NOT give any pitcher a contract longer than four years if they are over 30. They report that the Sox never made another offer, after the original one. Lester is said to be very angry, although saying all the right things. Kennedy said that Lester will never go back to the sox.
  23. Red sox said they would trade to Jays or O's but not Yankees
  24. O's being reported as getting lester
