  1. Well you obviously take projections into account, but you can't just go completely off projections. http://www.fangraphs.com/coolstandings.aspx?type=2&lg=&date=pre Just note, not a single AL projection was correct. And the Mets were at 1.2% to make the WS.
  2. Of course it makes sense. Your response even proves my point
  3. Thanks for doing the research. I think ECJF is just trolling though
  4. Alot of posters here put way too much stock into projections... At the end of the day players are PEOPLE, and people are unpredictable. You can try to predict future performance based on trends/numbers/stats, but you're never going to have a surefire way to project player performance. The results speak.
  5. So is everyone here just giving up on Hutch? He was pretty shaky this year, but last year he was great. Hutch is a solid #3 IMO. I still feel we need 2 acquisitions though. Gotta prepare for injuries and whatnot. Rotation should look like: Stroman Zimmermann Chen Hutchison Dickey With Sanchez/Osuna/Hendriks as depth. With our offense, a rotation like that should be adequate.
  6. BUT THE PROJECTIONS!!!!! cf
  7. Come on, you're better than this
  8. Tell that to David Murphy. Good hitting also beats good pitching.
  9. I want nothing to do with Latos. Chen and Anderson would be good targets. Zimmermann would be awesome.
  10. I'm telling you guys, Estrada will get at least a 4/40 deal.
  11. Harold Reynolds: "you can't throw a pitch in the same location 7 times and have it called a ball every time. The umpire will adjust to your pitching" Oh, so we're supposed to have moving strikezones I guess.
  12. Yes. Tulo will likely miss 30-40 games next season. Goins can fill in nicely.
  13. Not sure, especially considering HE HAS A FULL NO-TRADE CLAUSE.
  14. Tulowitzki has a full no-trade clause.
  15. I wonder if today will be the first playoff game with an attendance around 40,000. It really seems that way based on stubhub
  16. Day off tomorrow, doesn't matter if they have to pitch today.
  17. I just tune him out now. I don't even listen to what he says anymore.
  18. I think a HUGE factor so far has been the errors. The team played solid defense during the season, making maybe 1 error a week. Now they seem to make 1-2 errors per game. Its really killing them.
  19. I think you are severely undervaluing/underestimating what those 2 will get paid. Zim probably gets around 20mil annual while Shark probably gets something like a 12 million 1 year deal.
  20. Absolutely insane how low the prices are on stubhub. Had to offload my tickets for today for face value to a co-worker. If I didn't have to work today I would have just gone myself... evn tough last night's game was horrible. Highlight of the game was when Pennington pumped out a 91mph fastball for a first pitch strike. The crowd was loving it.
  21. Yup. Today will probably be a great game too. I guess people just don't want to skip work to see another potential shitshow game.
