    Totally agree. He was supposed to build a sustainable winner, a team that would make the playoffs each year and have good talent always coming through the system. It took him 5 years to get us to playoffs, and we don't have much talent left in the minors.

    Yeah. I don't think anybody here realized that he was an above-average defender in CF. Even if the defense declines, Pillar should be a lock to provide at least 2 WAR. That is an excellent compliment to the superstars we carry at other positions.

    Kinda scared to see who Gibby bats leadoff now. I'm gonna go ahead and guess Kevin Pillar will be batting leadoff on opening day. Travis might work in the leadoff spot, but it should probably be Tulo until then.

    Anyone see Gibby NOT giving Storen the "closer" role? I'm fairly certain Storen will close. Osuna will be the 8th inning guy, and Cecil will be the high-leverage guy like last year. Sanchez will be stretched out as a starter.
