Not sure why pitchers keep throwing Escobar anything to hit... The dude is not going to walk. 4% career walk rate... He should not be getting any pitches to hit.
I find it crazy how bad some of these throws are. You're a professional BASEBALL PLAYER AND YOU CANT THROW THE BALL TO YOUR CATCHER 90 FEET AWAY????
Duda...
I'm not bashing anyone. We don't know the details of what happened. My issue is with all the idiots who keep blaming Shapiro and Rogers for AA leaving.
Exactly. Like wtf is Rogers supposed to do? Grab AA by the wrist, force a pen into his hand and forcibly make him sign the contract? He obviously doesn't want to be here that badly, whether it's because of his ego, morals, family, or whatever.
It was not nearly that bad 4 months ago. It is actually f***ing terrible now. And the sad part is that is how the majority of fans feel and think about AA's departure. You can even see some people on this forum that are furious at Shapiro for nothing.
People talking about the payroll like it matters to fans. It doesn't. WINNING is what matters. If our payroll was at 90 million and we were able to make the playoffs, the dome would still sell out and the support would be there.
Whether the payroll is 180 million or 100 million, the casuals will abandon ship if the team is out of the playoff race by September.
