  1. Because its not just about hitting and defense, a catcher has to learn how to work with the pitching staff and he’s really young + doesn’t speak english well.
  2. Also there goes our top bullpen ERA
  3. Im fully expecting Giles to pitch
  4. Definitely going 5 innings and getting optioned after the game. Giles will pitch the 9th
  5. Yeah this is not a playoff caliber team
  6. Are you f***ing kidding me
  7. No. No chance they beat anyone
  8. Go upstairs for like 15 minutes, come back and see that Anderson has given up 3 runs and still 0 outs. Awesome
  9. Nice job Gurriel, thought that was gonna be a garbage bloop to tie the game
  10. Anderson behind in almost every count
  11. That happens when you hit the ball hard as f*** and you’re 300 pounds
  12. Fuggg Biggio missed a homer by like 3 feet. Also 100 on the outer edge, that’s not fair
  13. Seems like a really early call up, but I guess we’ll see. Would love to see him succeed.
  14. Texas Rangers batting Odor and his 15wRC+ in the 2 hole today lol. Why do people still think he's good? Even his traditional stats are awful, .145 avg, .200 obp, 3 homers. Negative value defense.
  15. Just makes me sad that a ctrl+f search for "vlad" or "guer" brings up 0 results in that article. Vlad was supposed to be THE most surefire prospect since Harper, but look where we are.
  16. Alejandro Kirk though??
  17. That is a great picture
  18. I don't think he'll ever have the plate discipline to be a .400 OBP guy, if he hits his prime his line probably looks more like .300/.350/.600 More in line with what Teoscar is doing right now. Even that seems unrealistic at this point, wouldn't be surprised if he has more of a Miguel Sano type of career.
  19. I’d say probably like half the stuff people s*** on him for is from the front office and high performance department. The other half is him being dumn.
  20. Which one was Walker pissed about? If you’re talking about his start in Boston, it was 100% the right time to pull him so I don’t care if he was mad.
  21. I understand his frustration, its a rough combination of his talents declining and the game/analytics changing. He gets a big 24 million dollar contract in the offseason which puffs up his ego a bit, so he thinks he’s entitled to pitch 7 innings like old times. But the talent isn’t where it used to be, the game is changing, and he can’t keep up. He’s looking at it from the wrong perspective IMO, his thought process SHOULD be “hey this team is paying me a lot of money and they have it in their best interest to get the best possible production out of me, so I’ll do whatever they need me to do”. Instead his ego is controlling the conversation.
  22. Big yikes
