    Unfortunately, the front office has been going after guys like this for years now. A complete shift in mentality for what kind of offensive profile they tend to value highly. Tapia, Gimenez, Clement, Straw, Wagner, Roden, Clase, Lukes, Loperfido, and Vlad. Sure im missing some others too

    The super team doesn’t always win in baseball. They came very close to defeat in 2025. I take solace in the fact that the entire world (minus Japan and LA) will be rooting against the Dodgers again this year.

    Personally think its time to move on from him regardless. He’ll never be appreciated by the fans here and this could possibly the last good stretch of games he’s able to put together. If he finds success next year with a new team, that’s totally fine. Relievers are a dime a dozen and a different guy wont have the baggage/bad history here like Hoffman does.

    I think we all did. Definitely a player that never reached full potential. The bat just never really came around, he has major issues identifying/timing the fastball

    This is fool's gold. The team still stinks, too little too late. Its not like we have a nice run differential or pythag record you can look at to inspire some confidence.

    I just found out the deadline isn’t tomorrow, but next week. Sigh Also why have there been like 0 trades so far. Nothing remotely interesting yet

    And IMO, the mark of a terrible poster is when they become insufferable while the team isn’t performing well. Yes we all know the team sucks this year, but some of us choose NOT to be doom and gloom about everything. It seems CERTAIN people seem to prefer when the team sucks so they can say TOLD YA SO HAHA

    People really forget or do not know the reason this board exists is we were finally fed up enough with the trolls/dumbos on the MLB forum and 1 guy (Juiced i think) had the balls to go out and give us our own place to discuss baseball, away from idiots like TheDogg, Jays24 and others on my ignore list. Dude comes in here not knowing the board lore and thinks he’s an “intelligent poster” and that we’re “always attacking him” Good riddance Jays24, time to hit the IL. I really, really tried with you. But you fail to ever admit you don’t know what you’re talking about and when you’re wrong. Guess i’ll be saying goodbye to 50% of the posts on this board lol

    I think initially his plan was always to opt-out after 1 year and secure a longer term deal, but seems he might be stuck returning for year 2 to rebuild his value somewhat.
