    That’s why guys like him and Pujols are terrible guys for someone like Vladdy to lean on/take advice from. Vlad is clearly just a step below the elite hitters who understand things naturally, and they’re giving him all the wrong advice that he can’t make sense of.

    Its why I never liked the whole narrative of “contact hitting” being some new meta. It didn’t work from 2023-2024, then things clicked in 2025. Now its back to how it was before. Homeruns win baseball games, period.

    There’s no way dude didn’t realize the shoulder was cooked all offseason unless he actually didn’t throw a single baseball til spring training. That’s insane for a multi-million dollar athlete in any sport IMO

    Isn’t the obvious answer that he can’t locate his fastball? He has no confidence in it. Can’t locate anything really. Maybe the mechanics are off.

    Year to year (2025-26) sure, but overall we need Vlad to hit better. that is much more impactful to the team’s success

    That’s fair but you still need your stars to play like stars. He’s paid way too much to hit 2 homers a month. Imagine what NY fans would be saying about Judge if he was hitting .300 with 5 homers rn.
