  1. Yeah I think this is a mistake. It kinda backfired on them against Washington on Sunday too (Sale out in the 3rd inning), they were just able to come back.
  2. This game has been a snoozefest since the 2nd inning
  3. Cole choking hard tonight. Love to see it
  4. Yankees. Redsox are such a ******** mirage team
  5. April 1st - May 31st: 52 games, 0.9 fWAR June 1st - October 3rd: 97 games, -0.5 fWAR Ooof
  6. No, he's doing the NL wildcard game. But yeah this thread is premature, he's retiring AFTER the postseason
  7. Yeah i was being sarcastic, it aint gonna happen. More realistic targets for 3B would be guys like Story or (kyle)Seager. I also highly doubt they sign both Ray and Semien
  8. You don't think we'll sign Ray, Semien, and trade for Jose Ramirez???
  9. Would love to have Corey. But I think Kyle is a realistic piece that won’t be too costly and can give us some Vetrin Presents. LH bat, fills a desperate hole.... yada yada. He’s at least a league average bat, and thats always welcome. Especially if its on a 1 year deal.
  10. Huh? They have an afternoon game BECAUSE they want to maximize viewership. How does it make sense to have 2 playoff games on at the same time when they can stagger them? Its always been like this. I don’t think they’d get more viewers by having the games be at like 7pm and 8pm for example. They obviously know its better for them to do 4pm and 8pm
  11. I read that he’s going to be homeplate ump for the NL wildcard game though
  12. The AL wildcard game is gonna be crazy
  13. Do we really want to tie up 75 million a year for the next 5 years on 3 guys over the age of 30? (Springer, Ray, Semien) And that’s not including Ryu and his 20 million for the next 2 seasons. 95 million on Ray, Ryu, Semien, Springer. Idk about that.
  14. I don't think there's any chance Scherzer comes here unless we massively overpay. He already had us on his no-trade list, he basically chose to go to the Dodgers. He probably stays with the Dodgers or maybe goes to the Angels
  15. Lineup would look like: Springer-R Bichette-R Guerrero-R Schwarber-L Hernandez-R Gurriel-R Seager/Dickerson-L Kirk/Jansen-R Biggio-L
  16. Not many teams have an exclusive DH these days, but im in the sign Schwarber boat. I actually think it would be great if we could keep Dickerson, try Gurriel at 3B, and sign Schwarber. Along with Biggio that would give us 3 solid LH bats in the lineup. Rotate the DH/LF/1B spot between Vlad, Schwarber, Dickerson. If we don't think Gurriel can handle 3rd, then maybe try to sign Seager instead of Dickerson.
  17. Biggio is a good player, but he sucks at 3rd base. And he wasn’t really healthy most of the year. He’s at least a 3 WAR player at 2B
  18. Don’t really want him around the young guys... plus he’s probably going back to the Mets anyways
  19. Hey im not saying I agree with it, just trying to come up with some reasons why he’s getting less attention then guys like Harper and Tatis
  20. Charlie. Charlie stopped them from salvaging several more wins this year with his absolutely atrocious bullpen usage.
  21. Remember that time Charlie brought in TRAVIS BERGEN against the Rays with the bases loaded in the 9th 2 outs and we were winning 4-3??? Bergen proceeded to walk in 3 runs. May 23rd game. Check the box score and weep.
