  1. Its funny that after the trade we all immediately guessed Charlie would have an infatuation with Tapia. Yup we were right
  2. Guarantee this was a rest day scheduled before the season started. Except they couldn’t have forseen we would have 2 major injuries right now. Which is why I say scheduled rest days are dumb. This is a weak lineup we’re fielding against the Yankees in game # 7
  3. Scheduled rest days are f***ing dumb. Its the beginning of the season. We’re competing for the division against the team tonight. Rest the guys tomorrow.
  4. Oh s*** didn’t even realize Chapman was out. They chose a really bad day to rest guys. This win is important.
  5. They wanted to split all the lefties up. I would’ve preferred Biggio 5th
  6. “Not as bad as I thought” I call ******** but good to hear I guess
  7. Lol I was worried he already had a 3rd kid in the offseason. Good tweet
  8. I don’t think they move Springer, but I can honestly see Espinal batting 2nd and moving Bo down to 4th like they did last year. Alternatively they just bump everyone else up (Espinal hits 6th) and have Biggio hitting 9th. Catcher/OF combo hits 7/8
  9. Lol f***ing napkins flying through the field in Chicago
  10. Yeah we’ll see how these new big deals go with guys like Springer/Gausman/Berrios. Ryu deal looks pretty bad if he pitches poorly again this year. And then we’ll have to see what they do with extensions to guys like Teo/Bo/Vlad/Lourdes The next 2-3 years will be extremely important
  11. Big 2-run bomb off the foul pole for Kelenic
  12. I personally have all notifications on this board turned off. I definitely do come back and read replies, but at my own pace periodically throughout the day.
  13. I definitely wouldn’t be surprised if Bo suffered an oblique injury. Hopefully not though. I think maybe some guys are just more predisposed to certain injuries. Bo has had leg injuries in the past, and Teo has had oblique problems (and wrist problems) in the past. Its totally possible Teo was compensating for a sore wrist suffered the night before on that sliding catch. It was his left wrist so maybe he wasn’t following through as well with the arm and twisting his body more to compensate, resulting in injuring the oblique
  14. See that’s where you went wrong, gotta turn quote notifications off
  15. It was like the first big contract/extension the new front office gave out. They had mentioned it was about setting the tone that they’re willing to spend money or something.
  16. On the other hand, is it better to try and work out how to hit MLB pitching even if it takes 1-2 years? Does it matter if he torches AAA but still struggles against MLB like most guys do? Just something to think about. Not sure what the best course of action should be but its interesting that just in the last few years it seems like a lot of top prospects are completely skipping AAA. I don’t think that was a thing 10 years ago
  17. Its funny how those 2 trades seem to have immediately backfired in the first week of the season. Hopefully someone can step up between Tapia/Zimmer/Collins/Katoh/Biggio
  18. I’d say it seems to be as common as leg/hanstring/quad injuries. Just that oblique injuries are more common in baseball where you’re taking huge swings. We seem to have a lot of guys that take wild swings like Springer, Bo, Vlad, Teo, Lourdes…. I believe Kevin Pillar injured his oblique sneezing in his rookie year. Its a common injury and im not sure there’s much in the way of prevention
  19. If he had been a LHH i think he’d currently be a bluejay.
  20. Yeah 6 earned runs against the ChiSox… let’s see what Gausman does tomorrow lol.
  21. Tbf I like the uniqueness of MLB stadiums, but that RF is a farce. Way too shallow and the wall is super low.
  22. Im not sure why they didn’t keep him in the game over Tapia just now
  23. Yankees really know how to use that short porch eh
  24. I appreciate Zimmer running hard on that ground out. Looks pretty speedy, could be decent in CF
