I don’t even think we have a righty on the bench, so one of the LHH would have to DH anyways. I’d prefer giving a regular the day at DH and have Biggio take the field

Yeah im not arguing the rule should be tossed or anything, just that there should be a more consistent enforcement. Seems like the play is 50/50 depending on whoever the replay umpires happen to be on any given day

Idk man the rule is all f***ed. We’ve seen worse slides NOT called interference. Looking at the big DP Espy and Bo made yesterday, I wonder if they would have called an illegal slide on Hicks if Bo had thrown the ball away.

Anyone see this play from yesterday between Texas/Colorado? https://streamable.com/2ojed3 Call was overturned and ruled an illegal slide at 2nd, Rox were given both outs and won the game. Kinda ******** IMO. The slide wasn’t dirty and he slid into the bag… seems like umpires still aren’t sure how to implement this rule. What i’ve gathered is basically the 2nd baseman can purposely make a s***** throw and then the call will likely be overturned for an illegal slide.
