Seem like the beginning of this season so far as been a completely opposite tale compared to last season. High win total with a low (maybe negative?) differential.
Either that or they want him to get more practice at 2B. He screwed up a throw the other day that led to a loss for them. Could be the arm, could be the position/short throw
AND it was a good pitch to hit but he didn’t swing. So far he’s swung at every ball out of the zone and didn’t swing at strikes in the zone. Just completely lost
I totally get that, but why not DH him yesterday and have Collins catching since Kirk needed the day off.
Then today you could do Kirk C, Springer CF, Collins DH.
Its just poor bench/rest management IMO.
