  1. They were close on Cole allegedly. You could argue he was that calibre as a free agent. They pivoted to Ryu
  2. 1 bad year. We’ll see how it turns out but literally everyone was happy with the deal at the time.
  3. Its not gonna be less than Kikuchi. Probably closer to 3/50
  4. Bryce/Trea reunion in Philly. Poor Nats fans
  5. Didn't realize Trea is 29 already damn. Yeah that deal is gonna be ugly past year 6ish probably
  6. I think he's proven he's a good hitter and its not just because of his speed. He can probably comfortably shift to 2B in a few years and still be above average. Definitely a risky deal for 11 years, but pretty much any deal longer than 8 years isn't a great idea.
  7. Gotta be some defensive positioning thing
  8. Makes the Gausman deal look like a steal in comparison
  9. Bud Selig ruined the HoF
  10. No, no you can't
  11. Im not sure which is bigger… his wallet, his mouth, or his ego. Deadly combo
  12. Steve Cohen is kinda new to baseball.
  13. The Braves??? Wtf
  14. Lets not fool ourselves here, the only reason they prefer Moreno is because he has 3 years of league min control.
  15. They did the same thing last year with Semien and Seager… MLBPA must love Ray Davis
  16. The most unrealistic thing about this scenario is “healthy Pearson”. I don’t think that exists
  17. Lol. So transparently obvious. Same with the Wander deal. You can pretty much tell exactly how long they’ll be a Ray for
  18. Could definitely build a stronger team for 2023
  19. Yeah I find it extremely unlikely they’d shell out a huge contract to someone like Correa just to shift Bo to 2B and Merrifield to the OF. I mean maybe but I just don’t see it. Have to think OF is the first place they’re looking to add. Gurriel/Teo/Hernandez played a ton of games in the OF last year and that’s an easy and substantial upgrade to run prevention right there if they bring in someone for CF, even Nimmo.
  20. I’d still take him as a LF/RF. He’d provide some stability in the OF with Teo gone and Lourdes next year.
  21. Would be nice if the jays had like... 1 OF of this caliber coming up through the system.
  22. Noot + Bellinger/Keirmaier would be nice Rotate Springer/Gurriel through the DH spot
  23. Its near his family, nice weather, much nicer city than NY
  24. If I had the chance, i’d pick hometown hero no question. Really depends how important the “Yankees legacy” is to him
  25. Depending on his mindset, something like 10/320 might be enough to sway him. Similar to the Harper contract. Less AAV but more overall
