    Berrios was the poster boy for durable/reliable mid-rotation workhorse with upside. Rodon is not that. But he’ll probably get at least 6 years in this market

    I don’t really see how that’s the GM’s fault. They failed spectacularly in that game 2 vs Seattle. Had they won that and lost the next game, would people be feeling any better? 2021 hurts more IMO

    It was also part of Semien’s whole thing to market himself as flexible SS/2B to open up his options for free agency. Does Texas sign him to that deal if he had played SS instead of 2B?? No, because they signed Seager. If Semien signed a multi-year deal for the Jays I have no doubt he would have been the SS and Bo would have been moved to 2B

    You just knew it was coming after SD missed out on Turner and Judge while reportedly having the highest offers on both guys.

    Yeah even if Nimmo only plays CF for a year or two, you'd think Nimmo/Springer at the corners for 25 mil each isn't necessarily a bad idea. Both should still have above-average defense at the corners and likely stay above the 115wRC mark for the duration of their contracts. We have maybe 1 potentially exciting OF prospect in the org right now and he isn't very close.

    Yeah pretty spot-on except you forgot Austin Riley/Braves. Houston seems to be smart with their signings and their biggest commitments rn are Bregman and Altuve both under 200 mil.
