  1. Yup. Me watching the all-star game with my dad and when Mason Miller came out I was like "oh this guy throws over 100" then I realized, wait most of them throw 100 now lol.
  2. I'd trade Bassitt before i'd trade Vladdy or Bo. Its not such a bad thing to have 2 big players in a walk-year, maybe give them something to work harder for. Bo's value has to be at its absolute lowest right now. Doesn't really make sense to move him.
  3. Sean Manaea for 2/28 Jack Flaherty for 1/14 Seth Lugo for 3/45 Eric Fedde for 2/15 Luis Severino for 1/13 Sonny Gray for 3/75 Michael Wacha for 2/32 Lance Lynn for 1/11 Kyle Gibson for 1/13 Reynaldo Lopez for 3/30 That's plenty of great short-term deals for starting pitchers. Now, I get that not all of these pitchers fall under the "reliable innings-eater" category, but I think there's more than enough deals out there that could replace Chris Bassitt quite easily. Especially if you expect Bassitt's numbers to start declining soon. Don't forget, Berrios was supposed to be a "reliable" innings-eater too, yet the numbers he posted in 2022 and now 2024 are putrid.
  4. I agree, probably the best time to trade Bassitt. Don't think his value will be higher. He should be easily replaced in free agency, there's always deals like Gray, Wacha, Lugo, etc. to be had
  5. That seemed like the wrong call… obvious obstruction by Naylor no?? Odd
  6. Shohei forgot the HR derby was yesterday
  7. Yeah the FO clearly doesn't like Teo. I think a lot of people here hated his brain-farts and took them as a lack of focus or hustle. But you can't deny he was always a great bat for us, clutch hitter, good attitude, and he had an absolute cannon of an arm in RF. His defense has seemed to improve since he left Toronto too. Could have been a positioning issue in the field.
  8. Atkins was relying too much on vetrin presents when he set his eyes on Turner. Feels like Ross gets tunnel vision for certain guys at times.
  9. They could have signed Teo back this year lol. And kept Swanson + prospect. The trade was fine, give it a rest.
  10. Congrats to Teo! Easy power, always been a monster
  11. Pretty sure all networks do this. Not just sportsnet. I agree it sucks.
  12. Alonso out already after round 1 ha.
  13. Billie Eilish with strep and bronchitis could sing better than this chick, im certain
  14. Holy f*** that was one of the worst anthem attempts i’ve ever seen. Grammy-nominated?? Jesus christ
  15. You’re fooling yourself if you think i doesn’t have to do with money. At least early on. Springer and KK 100% should have been bench players after the first month until they showed something
  16. Which they did with *ahem Joey Votto. Can't believe anyone here though Votto would actually contribute lol
  17. Jays could sign the corpse of Prince Fielder and a handful of posters here would try to rationalize it.
  18. Totally agree with this. Do you want to take a wild crack at WHY exactly KK and Turner were getting more playtime over the young guys??
  19. They paid 9 mil for KK in 2022, when we desperately needed an everyday CF, and it worked out spectacularly. Acquired Varsho shortly after. After the 2023 season it was evident that the offense was a problem, KK was coming off a best-case-scenario season, and it was clear Varsho was an elite defender but definitely not great with the bat. It was not the right move to sign KK again, for more money, and hope that he put up similar numbers to 2023 in addition to Varsho bouncing back enough to fill a corner OF spot.
  20. I remember an interview w him a few weeks back where he basically said he was ready to go, wanted to play, but nobody offered him a MLB deal
  21. IKF looks to be the only decent signing of the offseason, but even that was an overpay IMO. Who else was giving IKF that kind of deal?
