    Fun fact: Jose Bautista is a better player than Scherzer or Lester. He also is on a much better contract (from the team's perspective). To clear his money to sign a worse, more volatile asset is a pretty terrible idea.

    Stop narrowly framing the problem, Jim. An upgrade at 3B/2B might be the easiest, most efficient way to add wins to this roster as currently constructed.

    That relies on the assumption that an umpire views a knuckler in the lower third the same way he views a traditional offering. I'm not sure how well that holds. You could be right, I don't actually know.

    I don't think we know that either. Basically everything to do with the analysis of knuckleballers is guessing. Scouting, metrics, whatever else....we don't really know much here.

    Yea. I mean, I'm sure Navarro is going to be moveable but I highly doubt those two would be the ones to derp on in.

    Jays are probably 88 win-ish true talent team with Martin (Not great for a $150M payroll but whatever). Won't take that much positive luck to finish with 90+ wins. Tearing it down now wouldn't make much sense.

    Barely. But yes. In real life ball, contracts aside, I'd probably take Cutch as he does project to be better than Harper over the next 3 years or so. But, Harper is way more fun to cheer for IMO (on the more enjoyable side of the aging curve, nearly unlimited ceiling still) and that has some utility in fantasy.

    Actually Adam, the humorous part was that he called out his own team's s***** defense. The fact that he mentioned Pitcher Wins and Clutchiness was far beside the point.
