Sale is coming around fine. Mikolas and Hendricks will be solid SP2-3 K:BB dudes. Can’t complain about Paddack, he’s hitting his 90th percentile debut and might actually improve as the season goes on.

Possibly related, TBH. If the Kimbrel signing goes to s*** (as it has) and Kimbrel fires this agent, it makes it more likely that Albies fires him also before his big extension opportunity. I read that this agent was worried Albies would leave him so he signed ASAP to get his commish before a big fish poaches his money client.

I’m pissed that Jody Meeks even saw the floor yesterday. The TV timeouts are like 5 min, I would be running the starters into the ground with only FVV, Ibaka, and Norm getting any time off the bench.

Marc Gasol gave Embiid nothing all night, and Kawhi was smothering every wing the 6ers have. Kyle taking charges, Iblocka in full force, Danny Green with his fundamental soundness and textbook closeouts. This defense is scary good and right now every shot Kawhi takes is hitting nothing but the bottom of the net. This actually might be the best all-around Toronto sports team we’ve seen since the 93 Jays. That was a statement game and Philly is thoroughly demoralized. If you read the Philly papers and blogs, they are searching for answers right now. What a drubbing.

Man, is it ever nice to have 2 former NBA Defensive Players of the Year to match up against Embiid and Butler, not to mention Lowry drawing multiple charges per game, and Green and Siakam also being plus defenders. The Raps starting 5 might actually be the top D in the playoffs.
