Where are my manners? I forgot to mention that Rasmus also has a shot at the all-time worst Contact rate, also held by (the possibly legally blind) Mark Reynolds. -
I just wanted to point out that while Colby currently leads the league with a whopping 38.1% K rate, much loftier aspirations are in sight. Can Rasmus possibly break Mark Reynolds all-time, single season record @ 35.4%? Anything is possible, if we believe. Sadly, at only 34%, Arencibia is going to have to step up the whiffs to get into the conversation. That would only register as the 5th worst qualified K rate of all time.

It's hard to imagine that my team isn't first in offence while smoking the league in H, R, RBI, and OBP and among the leaders in HR and SLG. SB are overrated. Also, I'm still the only team who hasn't lost twice.

As long as he maintains 3B eligibility for at least 2 more years, I don't care where they put him.

He's clearly not swinging it right now, but at least his discipline is good. He has a history of hitting well under Mottola, hopefully he can spot something in the swing. More than anything, it sounds like Gose needs to get his confidence going. A few early hits would go a long way.

Gose is a competitor, I think he'll rise to the challenge and find his swagger.

I don't really buy that. Pinch running and defensive replacement opportunities will be frequent, he'll play almost every day regardless. Hopefully he's doing lots of work with CM on the side for his swing and confidence, but he can contribute to the game as a PR/Def specialist. He needs to prove that he's capable of being a starter.

A BABIP of .297 is well below what you'd expect from a speed player like Gose. By rights, he should be hitting .250-.260 with a BABIP between .330-.350.

Agreed, Gose has nothing left to learn in the minors. He'll never have a plus hit tool or probably hit lefties respectably, but it's time for him to start learning at the MLB level. The K rate is down to a reasonable 22%, he's walked well at every level, and he has a good history with Chad Mottola. I hope he's up to stay.
