1. Rodon looks like a David Price-type slam dunk 1-1 to me. Things could change, obviously.
 2. Are we doing a weighted lottery for the bottom... 5? 6? More? 5 feels right to me.
 3. Marquis will certainly help Boxy tank for that #1 pick, so he's an underrated aspect of the deal.
 4. Boxy deals Morrow for a potential Top 5 pick. Not sure which side of this I like.
 5. If I'm not mistaken, a huge shared tv revenue stream kicks in, not to mention the untold millions Rogers is already raking in and pocketing. Don't be such a Debbie, there's probably much more money than we can even fathom. There will be plenty of time to cry about payroll constraints when and if they become real.
 6. Even if I was fat, I'd call AA fat. I'd call myself fat too. He is objectively obese at this point.
 7. What was wrong with plucking Hutchison from AA? I see no evidence to suggest he wasn't ready, nor any evidence to suggest that his promotion caused his injury. Alvarez also performed well during his initial season. I'm not saying get Stroman up here to stay, but I'd take 2011 Alvarez or 2012 Hutchison over Redmond in a heartbeat. Stroman is the most competitive play we have at the moment. f***, I'd even take Nolin over Richmond.
 8. Ew. Can't we just pawn Drabek and Gose back on Amaro? It's not like he has any eye for talent evaluation.
 9. Stroman had 13 Ks tonight in AA, and he's on the right schedule. Do the right thing, Fat Greek.
 10. Stroman will be making this start, book it.
 11. See, I was right.
 12. Likewise. I still believe I'll win, although it will be much closer than I thought possible.
 13. No, although I prefer my rotation to yours now, hands down. Lester is arguably my #6 or 7. You've got Darvish and Bailey and that's about it. Porcello/Parker is a pretty uninspiring 3/4 IMO, and Cueto can't stay healthy. I'll take Bumgarner/Shields/Medlen/Ryu/Lackey over that, any day of the week. Lester, Dempster and Pineda are also a lot more interesting than whatever back-end detritus is now floating around your rotation.
 14. Rick Porcello's K/9 is back down to 7.09 too. I've got a few hot bets on my hands.
 15. So John Lackey is pitching like a borderline ace right now. All his peripherals suggest he's as good or better than he was in his prime from 2005-2009. Farrell couldn't do s*** for us, but the minute he goes back to Boston, Buchholz and Lackey have career years. At least Lester is falling apart.
 16. IMO, he's already a borderline Top 10 starter on baseball. He's scary good.
 17. z scores for this week:

Rank Team Name B P z

1 A Wrench In The Plan 14.0 -0.7 13.3

2 A 2nd Leg To Stanton 6.7 5.6 12.4

3 BALCO Pharm Team 2.9 6.8 9.7

4 Twist and Trout 3.8 3.1 6.9

5 Jurrasic Kats -1.7 8.3 6.6

6 ISO Horny 0.9 5.1 6.0

7 The Butt Stallions 2.8 -0.9 2.0

8 B.Inge Drinking -0.4 1.7 1.3

9 The True Cardinals -3.2 2.9 -0.3

10 Triple Hawpe Brewed! 1.6 -2.7 -1.1

11 Got Head for Miles -4.7 2.0 -2.7

12 London Slayers -0.2 -3.3 -3.5

13 Gryffindor 2.7 -6.3 -3.6

14 Georgia Peach -1.5 -2.2 -3.7

15 Taijuan On! -4.3 0.4 -3.9

16 Oppo Taco -4.5 0.1 -4.4

17 speedygose -2.5 -3.3 -5.8

18 (insert clever name) 0.3 -6.2 -5.9

19 The Lyon Tamer -3.6 -4.0 -7.6

20 The Uphill Gardners -9.1 -6.7 -15.7

18. Anybody who thinks Esmil Rogers is long-term rotation piece learned nothing from Carlos Villanueva. I'm just hoping a couple of Happ/Morrow/Hutchison make it back before the bottom falls out. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's probably a worthwhile idea to stretch out Cecil and give him some run in the rotation to see if he can carry over his new-found success and velocity. Worst case scenario, you blow up an effective relief arm; he isn't bound to be this good for long anyway. If he can maintain his effectiveness as a starter, that's obviously much more valuable.
 19. Anybody want Denard Span or Burch Smith for a late pick?
 20. They won't trade Konerko because it's not their decision. He has 10 & 5 rights, he's probably told them he will veto any trade.
 21. You should absolutely never have children.
 22. You must have a very short memory... he had a serious concussion and missed 100 games in 2008.
 23. Lind wasn't injured. I don't think the award is meant for healthy players who just suddenly stopped being s*****.
