    I still don't see what this meaningless trade has to do with us. It's a tweener prospect for a volatile reliever that any team could have had for free 5 months ago. In all likelihood, K-Rod will regress to a replacement level MRP and Delmonico will never make it. This trade has no bearing on our team, nor do I see a meaningful missed opportunity here.

    My personal interpretation was no snake drafts ever again going forward. After the initial drafts, I don't think it makes sense.

    I never believed in Ackley and I certainly don't now. I'd say he's the next Gordon Beckham, but I actually prefer Beckham at this point.

    Well, Braun getting suspended for the season should help Boxy's epic tank job.

    Rizzo/Olt/Bryant/Castro/Baez/Almora has the potential to be a very nice lineup in 2-3 years. They can probably spin off E-Jax and Soriano for some decent prospects too, and they'll have tons of payroll to reload in FA while tanking for a very high pick next year.

    We sent a bunch of org guys to the Astros, there's a difference between quantity and quality. Nobody in that trade will ever be of much consequence. Garza, conversely, is a very good pitcher, but the Cubs got a much better return than just a comp pick for him. That's quite a return for a 3 month rental.

    I would be ecstatic to get Olt, Edwards and Grimm for a departing FA. Nice haul for the Cubbies, Theo and Hoyer are crushing it this year.

    Machado and it's not even close. Lawrie is a spaz with boxy hands who manages to rescue a lot of plays with a rocket arm. Machado has it all.

    He's Reed Johnson, which is pretty much what we already knew.

    Poor Timmy, he'd get blown up in the AL. If you struggle in the NL West, chances are you'll do worse in any other division.
