  1. Not really f***ed. We don't have much in salary obligations past then, so we should be able to rebuild rather quicky if necessary.
  2. Or he'll bust and disappoint you twice as much.
  3. Why the f*** do I care about his minor league seasons 7 years ago? He hit .225 for a 270 game stretch in recent memory.
  4. How exactly does Rasmus have a "hit tool"? He hit .276 with a .356 BABIP and struck out 30% of the time.
  5. Don't feel too bad, I traded Alex Gordon for Grandal in my other league. If the knee didn't assplode it would look a lot differently. Although I do appreciate Ryu's 2.7 ERA and 6 K/BB in the 2nd half!
  6. If I were a rebuilding team or had the space I would definitely take a shot on Grandal (again).
  7. If you can't hit in Cuba, you sure as s*** can't hit MLB pitching.
  8. I'm still looking for a CF upgrade. I'm open to moving Shields, Ryu, Medlen, or Acher, or two of them. I'd also listen to offers on Chapman but I'm operating under the assumption that he'll be converted based on the Reds personnel moves.
  9. I quoted a bad % there. I had read an article that put the bust rate of top hitting prospects at 40%, but it's more like 10% for Top 10 guys. Although by this definition, a bust means an org guy.
  10. Which one? It depends on how we define bust. In Profar's case, I'd say ending up as a 2nd division talent would qualify as busting.
  11. He inspires some black and white thinking for sure. There's about a 40% chance he busts altogether and maybe a 10-15% chance he's a franchise player. It's quite likely that he's something more akin to Alexei Ramirez or Edgar Renteria, a boring middle ground likelihood that most people tend to disregard.
  12. I don't think Profar is a bust, but I do think he's considerably overrated, especially as a fanasy asset.
  13. Damn, Greinke is savvy with the bat. Love that guy.
  14. Not as much as you probably think. A .260-.270 BABIP is sustainable for a pitcher with such filthy stuff. His fastball routinely works 95-97 with nasty movement, whereas Miller's is very straight (this has always been a knock on him).
  15. Also, fun fact, Fernandez had a higher wOBA (.237) as a hitter this year than hitters had against him (.236).
  16. 2nd Half 11.1 K/9 4.67 K/BB 1.99 FIP 49% GB .208 wOBA against Sweet Jesus Christ.
  17. Younger, twice the WAR in identical IP, better velo, GB%, K%, and Fernandez got better his second time through the league while Miller struggled. Just MO, but I think Fernandez is a Top 5 SP going forward. Monster.
  18. That's not a toss up really, Fernandez smokes Shelby.
  19. I'm projecting him for like 36-37 HR, I don't think anyone expects him to repeat. If he does, you're probably all f***ed.
  20. Once a thread gets hijacked for DDL rosterbation, don't even bother trying to get it back.
  21. He's my arbitrary BPT/2LS pick 'em. Mauer >> Salty Rizzo = Cuddyer Kipnis >> Prado Beltre > Donaldson Lowrie << Hanley Cutch > Adam Jones Kemp << Stanton Choo > Holliday Fielder >> Rios It's a pretty even matchup and they're both easily Top 3 offenses. Pitching is a thing though, and 2LS has a vastly superior staff.
  22. I'd take Choo over Holliday. Choo is a Top 5 OBP asset and contributes in all cats.
  23. That's not my lineup, this is. C - Gattis 1B - Crush 2B - Carpenter 3B - Miggy SS - Desmond CF - Gardner/Bourn OF - Craig OF - Torii DH - Freeman
  24. I'll take Crush/Freeman over Prince/Rizzo any day, and I'll take Miggy over McCutchen.
  25. You were the best loser, no one can dispute that.
