  1. That would look pretty awful after Bailey walks but I could see AA doing it.
  2. Apparently you haven't seen Alfaro or Hedges.
  3. Jason Parks says Gary Sanchez has makeup issues and isn't a catcher.
  4. I hope your literacy improves.
  5. Shut the f*** up.
  6. Agree with N49, 1 and 2 are no-brainers, 3 isnt as interesting. I would be interested to see what they want for Montero after a down year.
  7. Apparently I'm the only Darrell not writing for this blog now.
  8. You guys should use this run of recognition and name checks to secure some interviews with prospects. It will help legitimize the blog and give the prospects some face time, it's a win-win.
  9. I'll absolutely agree to that, so why blow $9M in payroll? I'd take Navarro at $5-6M for 2+ an option, maybe. Salty just doesn't bring a different skill set and he has absolutely terrible hair. I mean really, if we're just going to waste money on an incremental improvement, I'd rather take Brandon Phillips.
  10. Bullet dodged.
  11. I wouldn't. When Salty's BABIP regresses to league average he's a .230 AVG .290 OBP type who strikes out 30% of the time. It's Arencibia with slightly better defence for 3/4 of the cost of an SP2. I'd rather use that $9M AAV towards someone like Garza and keep the s***** offensive catcher we already have. At least Navarro has good contact skills, and more to the point, you can't put "contracts aside." Navarro looks like he's going to be considerably cheaper than Salty. FWIW, Steamer projects Navarro to be the better hitter in 2014.
  12. I for one never said Ruiz was a bargain, although I do prefer him as a player. I don't believe in Salty's bat at all going forward and he is a below average defender in most respects. That money would be better spent towards SP.
  13. Completely agree. Salty at $8-9 AAV makes me sick. Lol @ "steal" him from the Red Sox, they'd be happy to let him walk at that price.
  14. Not to mention his baserunning. Just clueless.
  15. I was saying this two years ago. This guy will never be a major league regular, his instincts are appalling.
  16. Jose Fernandez affects ALL of us. Sorry Ken. :/ If it makes you feel better, I also drafted Yelich ahead of him. Just got lucky that he made it back to me.

Just checking on the score. SO glad I stopped watching at 2-0.
  18. At this point it appears Syndergaard has a higher floor and ceiling.
  19. That's pretty terrible logic. Syndergaard has better command, has pitched at a higher level, has pitched more innings, and has struck way more hitters out.
  20. Oh your balls... from fapping too much? I hear that.
  21. As a Syndergaard owner you're secretly loving this, don't lie.
