  1. Those numbers are updated to reflect today's start.
  2. Keuchel 2014 - 6.57 K/9, 2.16 BB/9, 63.5% GB, 3.20 xFIP Stroman 2015 - 6.00 K/9, 2.00 BB/9, 64.5% GB, 3.35 xFIP
  3. 1) Brett Anderson - 65.9% 2) Marcus Stroman - 64.1% 3) Dallas Keuchel - 62.3% 4) Jaime Garcia - 62.2% 5) Tyson Ross - 61.5% Is it a small sample? Yes, but GB% stabilizes quickly. Stroman 2.0 is one of the best GB pitchers in MLB and his 2-seamer is an elite pitch.
  4. Stroman's two-seamer is UNREAL today, he's front-dooring it with like 10 inches of movement.
  5. Wow, my lineup predictions were bang on.
  6. Super embarassing game for the Garbage Shitbirds, I love it!
  7. No thanks, I don't want either of those teaming play "home" in the RC. That's just wrong. Go play in Milwaukee.
  8. I agree with you on Pompey, but if Gibbons is going to make the decision to take him over Carrera (which he should), then it behooves him to give Pompey at least a FEW damn PAs before the playoffs.
  9. Looks like he's about 5'4.
  10. Can he throw over 80 MPH though?
  11. I would, yes. I'd ditch Loup for Pompey... Kawasaki as a PR doesn't do anything for me.
  12. 0% chance Thole makes the playoff roster.
  13. Donaldson has been the emergency 3rd C for most of the season, except when Thole has been up.
  14. I would be inclined to let Cecil do all the heavy lifting against good lefties, but if we have an inning come up against Headley, Ackley, Gregorious, and Estrada is at 98 pitches, then there's really no problem giving Buehrle that inning and saving Cecil for a tougher assignment.
  15. Yep, I'm all about this. He's also a nice option if we have to face the Yankees and we need someone mid-game to mop up an inning or two when they have a bunch of lefties stacked in their order.
  16. Yep. Also, when every game is so meaningful, we need his signficantly superior bat in the lineup. There's no such thing as personal catchers in the playoffs when we have a Top 5 catcher in baseball.
  17. I don't think there's any consideration about leaving Dickey off the playoff roster whatsoever. If anything, he is our likely Game 2 starter, not Stroman.
  18. As much as I think Navarro is useless, we need a backup C anyway, and I'd rather it's him than Thole. Martin should catch every playoff game anyway, unless we're up 3-0 in the series and it's Estrada's turn.
  19. It's actually all pretty well decided and obvious. The only one I would change is Carrera for Pompey, since he's a better baserunner and has more power. However, since Pompey hasn't been given ANY at bats in September, that clearly isn't going to happen. The only interesting roster spot is deciding the last two pitchers between Buehrle, Hutch, and Loup. Hutch is probably on the outside looking in, but it's also possible that Hawkins is more injured than they're letting on and could get left out, opening a spot for Hutch. I don't mind Buehrle as the 2nd lefty and long man, I think that works fine and Loup should be optional. I would even consider keeping Pompey and Carrera rather than Loup. Catchers (2) Russel Martin Dioner Navarro Infielders (7) Josh Donaldson Edwin Encarnacion Ryan Goins Cliff Pennington Justin Smoak Troy Tulowitzki Chris Colabello Outfielders (4) Jose Bautista Ezequiel Carrera Kevin Pillar Ben Revere Pitchers (12) Mark Buehrle Brett Cecil RA Dickey Marco Estrada Latroy Hawkins Liam Hendriks Aaron Loup OR Drew Hutchison Mark Lowe Roberto Osuna David Price Aaron Sanchez Marcus Stroman
  20. WRONG FORUM, STUPID! xo
  21. Although I will say that if there's a way to utilize an additional start from him (only after clinching 1st place) in order to get our playoff SPs on the rest cycle they need, then have at it. It's become very clear he won't be in the playoff rotation. AA was on TSN yesterday and when asked if there's any room for sentimentality when it comes to making decisions on the playoff rotation he said (I'm paraphrasing): "There's... some... not much. The body of work is important, but momentum (recent play) is more important." That was about as transparent as AA gets.
  22. Buehrle doesn't even care about this record, he said himself "if it ends, its ends, and the world isn't going to end." He admitted he had many opportunities to go deeper into games and "it just wasn't there." I don't think he really cares and neither should we.
  23. Puig would mash at RC. Fap.
  24. Meanwhile Choo has had the best 2nd half of his career.
