  1. The results don't matter but the process does. He has shown diminished velo and poor control the whole time. I don't think he's broken though, actually I think both pitchers will be fine.
  2. In a vacuum, I would trade a healthy Bumgarner for a healthy Pollock. I see the dropoff from Bumgarner to Felix being minimal and Gordon as replaceable. I don't think it was a major blow to my team this year.
  3. I don't think MadBum is much better than Felix. There are a lot of red flags with him also in the early going: - FB velo down 1.6 MPH - GB rate down 9% - Elevated HR rate - BB rate more than doubled The last two points have mostly been a result of missed spots and poor control. He's been fighting his mechanics in the early going. It could be his foot problem or it could be something larger. Either way, he's been getting shelled in the early going, including all of ST.
  4. You can't tell me anything I don't already know about Felix. You're acting like Pollock is a zero and that's fine. In my mind I traded Alex Gordon for Felix, so I'm pretty good with the buy. You can point to Felix' control and velocity, and I will point to his SwStr% and GB%. I don't think he's vintage Felix, nor did I pay for that.
  5. TBH he'd probably play quite a bit anyway, he only has to compete with Pillar, Colabello and Smoak for ABs. One injury and he's a full-time player.
  6. How about it, silvergun? It's a fair offer.
  7. Just give Pompey the 4th OF job already, time for him to learn at the MLB level. His AAA K rate is down to 10.6% with a .406 wOBA. Not much power, but we really don't need that from him.
  8. It stretches back to like August 2015, just ask Boxy. BP Scott is back!
  9. Should I start Scott Kazmir in Denver this week? Probably should, right?
  10. And it wasn't particularly close, either.
  11. Velo aside, Felix is getting Ks and GBs at a very good rate. Until his ERA blows up, I'm not going to worry too much.
  12. In a world where Roy Halladay, Johan Santana, and Cliff Lee became useless overnight, it wouldn't surprise me if either pitcher blows out their elbow.
  13. I love MadBum and he's been great for me, but I think it's safe to say we've seen his ceiling. His consistency is his most attractive quality but now there is cause for concern there. Both pitchers seem likely to degrade soon due to extreme workloads.
  14. Pollock is a core offensive piece, he was drafted ahead of MadBum in BORED. That was the point of the trade for me, getting a core bat who isn't 33+ already.
  15. I'm sure he'll be fine, but as much as Felix has a lot of IP for his age, the same is true of Madbum. I'm pretty optimistic on Pollock being fine next year and Ellsbury isn't someone I can really rely on at CF these days.
  16. Madbum's velo is also down quite a bit. I see them as fairly equal, this was more about Pollock for me.
  17. Realllllly getting tired of seeing our MVP come up with one out and nobody on base.
  18. Bryce Harper's ISO is good for a SLG.
  19. Souza for Ross and Turner looks like a great deal for the Nats.
