  1. Does anyone want Orlando Arcia for a pick upgrade?
  2. You need some Christian Villanueva in your life.
  3. Looking forward to seeing Gleyber's debut.
  4. If anybody wants to overpay me for No-No Manaea, I am willing to rape you. Get at me.
  5. I'm happy for you now, but I'm gonna be pissed if Rodgers is a bust.
  6. You know who else is good? Carlos Correa, shortstop.
  7. Grichuk isn't going anywhere. He's out of options and in no immediate danger of being DFA. Worst case scenario he'll get relegated to 4th OF/pinch hitter/platoon work.
  8. I've always felt this was a ******** Pat Tabler narrative. Pitchers aren't really that different, and you get scouting reports on all of them. Fastballs are fastballs and sliders are sliders. Even if you knew a pitcher from a former league, his repertoire and arm slot could be different now. Good hitters can hit anyone because they have a gameplan, pitch recognition, and hand-eye coordination.
  9. TBH I feel like Gibby has done an admirable job working platoons, hot hitters, and pinch hitting spots this season with the depth at his disposal. He should get a bit of a credit for keeping this team above water without Donaldson when the general consensus was that we'd be lucky to do so even with him healthy.
  10. Oh nice. I believe Boxy uses the same system to work his way up in butt plugs.
  11. His defense is probably going to be average to below-average. He's a bat-first infielder who's value is going to come from versatility. If he can be a league average hitter while playing passable defense in a very different positions, that's a nice asset.
  12. His AA stats have been horrific. It's looking like they rushed him, shouldn't have skipped him over A+.
  13. The policy of acquiring depth is starting to bear fruit. Tulo is a dead asset and Travis turned into a pumpkin, yet we still have several controllable MIF assets that look like they can be league average contributors. When you look at our positional WAR breakdown last season it was a fricking disaster.
  14. This is almost certainly the gameplan for Vlad and Bo.
  15. I'd be telling Vladdy he can come up next week if he signs a 7 year contract to buy out his arb years + 1.
  16. I would like to see a lot of mixing and matching with Diaz, Solarte, Gurriel, Travis at 2B/SS. You hit, you play.
  17. Also: Devon Travis has been shockingly bad at baseball in 2018. He needs to earn his starting job at this point.
  18. I just got a Sportsnet alert saying Jays will option Ngoepe and Mayza, promote Gurriel. I'm guessing also Morales off the DL?
  19. Gurriel up, Ngoepe gone. Me likey.
  20. Mike Trout was striking out twice as much in AA at the same age. There's a pretty real chance that Vlad will be the best hitter in baseball some day, when guys like Trout, Altuve, Harper, Betts, etc are fading in their 30s.
  21. You guys, Vladdy is hitting .362 with a .234 ISO and sub-9% K rate as a teenager in AA. WTF.
