  1. Gose is still developing and as such is better off taking what he has learned here and applying that in AAA. This should not be seen as a put-down but more as another chance to refine the little things he is still missing. I believe his days in AAA are numbered since I feel next year he will be at the major league level either with the Jays or elsewhere.
  2. I would prefer to have Gose however he needs continuous playing time and being on the bench won't allow that to happen. I would be surprised if he is kept over Pillar.
  3. Some trades work out and others don't. Now, if the Jays gave up a great player that would hurt a bit but they didn't.
  4. I was just ragging on ElNik2014 in a subtle (maybe too subtle) way.
  5. Looks like the stars were aligned for the most part for the Jays tonight - Yankees, O's, BoSox lost.
  6. That's some battle taking place there. O's got 1 back so far,
  7. I don't have an answer for that but you can ask ElNik2013. Waittttttt, I forgot that particular crystal ball is defective - predicted the Jays were going to lose these last two games against the BoSox before a pitch was even thrown.
  8. Yankees lost but made it interesting and very close in the 9th.
  9. Still tied at the top of the 13th, Machado left with a groin injury.
  10. I think it was more about frustration than anything else.
  11. Strike zone but ump just chose to ignore him rather than throw him out.
  12. Ump still seems to be making some shoddy calls. Anyway, Loup got them out of that mess.
  13. … and the home plate ump mutters under his breath at the hitter as he heads back to the dugout saying "Sorry, I really tried to help you out son."
  14. Hard to say cuz teams have not really been giving Bautista much to hit - rather give him a walk. However with Encarnacion hot like this I am assuming Bautista will soon be seeing more pitches in the zone and that should be a recipe for some good fireworks.
  15. Redbull geeves you wingsssssssssssss!!! See how he was able to levitate and throw the ball in a downward trajectory past Ortiz' head towards the catcher.
  16. Maybe he just got his wake-up call - Hopefully he realizes that he cannot keep blaming everyone and everything around him for his own failure. Maybe this time he will become more coachable cuz what he felt he knew to be the correct approach just was not, so listening to some objectivity might get him on the right track. It's seems to be mostly a mind thing - Halladay and Encarnacion to name just 2 from the Jays - which needs to be put into proper perspective. I believe his ego go the better of him however proper direction/instructions and dedication/hard work should go a long way in turning his career around.
  17. Really, this early? Even before the first pitch is thrown??? Mannnnnn, you are just reeking of "positivity". I will enjoy it no matter what takes place cuz it is almost impossible for any team to not lose a few games in a row. You are not blessed with an insight into the future so why don't you just accept that fact and try tempering your negativity a bit please. You may even find your outlook on life may change for the better. Is "Chicken Little" your middle name or nickname by any chance? Yesterday's GDT: - Janssen missing his spots...big trouble here. - I think we all know the Jays are gonna blow this...
  18. There was no panic on Lawrie's part. It's almost as if he instinctively knew what to do before the ball was hit his way - If the ball was hit too far away from 3B and he could reach it then he would throw to home however if it was close to 3B he would step on it for the force play first before throwing to home since he knew there was no speed heading home. That play changed the momentum of the inning. The BoSox never seem to give up no matter what the score is. It's as if the score is just a number and if they keep giving their "all" they will still have a chance to pull off a victory. They didn't have a dejected look on their faces when they were down by 6 and they still played hard till the very end. That was definitely an exciting, drama filled game though! Now, on to tonight's game.
  19. That call just changed the momentum of that inning.
  20. I can only hope this puts a damper on those who keep saying the Jays will lose this game. You cannot seem to just sit back and take in a game without a lot of negativity. Just saying it is tiring having to see that in almost every GDT. No celebrating if they win this one please.
  21. True. It was a big out for him and he will remember that for a long time. Also, it looks like Gibbons is feeling kinda invincible.
  22. Ump is forcing McGowan to pitch into the centre of the strike zone.
