    Yeah, it's not normal. I already said that. My point isn't that Chapman isn't a f***ing hothead moron, shooting up your garage because your gf found out you were sending out dick pics is f***ing crazy. But, if he has anger issues to this extent, is that crazy behaviour not preferable to breaking her jaw or something? It's hard to get in the head of someone like that but if he got that mad (again, far more than normal) then I think he did a pretty good job of walking away from the situation to let off steam before anyone got hurt. And I'll reiterate since apparently it gets lost in translation: Chapman has anger issues and needs to get some help for that. He's probably a scumbag. Shooting up your own garage is not normal or warranted. But can we at least say that he avoided doing what many other athletes in that situation have done in the past? I think it at least deserves a mention.

    What's better: him knocking her out in a fit of rage, or taking his frustrations out by shooting at a wall? No brainer for me. Obviously not what I'd do and still pretty insane imo, but clearly the lesser evil. He had no intent to harm anyone and I guess this is his version of screaming in a pillow. If they give Chapman a long suspension based on nothing, are they willing to draw out the process like they did with A-Rod? Do they want to cause a stink with the union right before they work on a new CBA? I just don't see the justification. Reyes, for sure, he definitely hit his wife and they would definitely want to make a statement there. Just don't think it makes sense with Chapman.

    My issue is that the facts of this case do not indicate domestic abuse and yet you seem keen on Chapman "getting the book thrown at him." Why? To prove a point? He said she attacked him, she said otherwise. Why automatically assume his guilt when there's nothing even close to concrete?

    I got some pretty bad injury luck/performances. Floyd, Pearce, V-Mart, McCutchen, Minor, etc. Pre season it was not a bad team. Harsh to judge on one year where I half cared.

    Yeah, a 37% hr/fb is pretty much the definition of unlucky. Hard hit is also not very relevant. Both of those things would have evened out over time.

    Why would you bring up his entire career? McCarthy had a jump in velocity which led to increased performance. Dodgers signed him short term for not a huge amount and he proceeded to pitch like an ace until he hurt his arm. For whatever reason, this new fastball is a recent thing. Ignoring that in favour of career results which have little bearing on his current performance is about as ignorant as I'd expect from you.

    I had an extremely strong reaction to 30 mg Vyvanse the first time I took it. Doesn't necessarily always take weeks.
