  1. Man, he's like the definition of Wonder Bread.
  2. 3/25? Maybe a bit high
  3. Yeah, wins a gold glove while being the DH for his team, lol.
  4. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doping_in_baseball
  5. Allllllllrighhhht BTS is pist
  6. So, if I'm getting this correct You need proof that steroids were rampant During what is dubbed as "the steroid era" Did you go into cryogenic stasis after 93, and just woke up?
  7. I thought even 80% was light
  8. Smoltz relieved for like 3 years lol. Eckersely was known because of his relief role.
  9. Oh I thought it was rhetorical since the reason is obvious. Did you know Griffey hit a lot more home runs than players with his profile typically do?
  10. Boy, you are really stupid. OK, I know it might not help but I'm going to type this as slowly as possible. I hope that you will commit to reading it as slowly as your Pentium 1-esque mind needs to process it. You asked me, gun to my head, whether Griffey and Bonds used PEDs, stating that, in the event I was wrong either way, I'm dead. It's not a case where I know for sure Griffey used, but if my life depended on getting it right, the safe bet is to say he did. For the fourth (4th!!) f***ing time, whether a player used PEDs is either an extremely minor factor for me or not one at all; example, I'll take Edmonds over Sosa by a hair because I believe he was more skilled and PEDs allowed Sosa to excel at the one thing he did well. That's not to say I wouldn't vote for Sosa, as I'm sure that's the conclusion someone with your smarts would draw, but I would use that as a last resort tie breaker depending on what the player particularly excelled at and whether PEDs would have been a bigger help than if he was just fast or something.
  11. The f*** difference does it make, idiot? Why don't you stick to learning about baseball in this thread and stop worrying about who went to college and for how long. You have no clue about what Spank's life is like, what he does or what he's achieved and it has no relevance here. I see why you would go to it since you write like a 5 year old and are obviously insecure about your intellect but no one else here gives a s*** about your level of education because we can see that you're a retard from the things you're writing.
  12. Not on his own merit necessarily. As of right now he wouldn't make my ten since the field is so stacked, but Edgar Martinez was: 1) a much better hitter 2) actually played third for a few years unlike completely position less Ortiz My issue would lie with the fact that the superior player who has the same biases (DHs shouldn't be in the hall) didn't get in while Ortiz did. I think anyone intelligent would have derived that from my post.
  13. We've been over this three times. I think any player will cheat if given the chance. Did Bagwell? Maybe. I live in North America where people are generally presumed innocent until proven otherwise. I also said I don't care about who cheated; the steroid era was not the fault of the players. Most of them were using and I judge them comparatively. In an era where everyone cheated, Bonds, Clemens, Bagwell still rose above and dominated the sport. Your closer argument (if that's even enough to count as one) is so stupid that I'm going to go out of my way to tell you that I won't dignify it with a response.
  14. I was 4 and 5 years old. Of course, "glory years" bandwagoners like yourself love bringing up 92/93 whenever they can, even if it has no relevance (like right now.)
  15. For the duration of the 90s. You must have also missed the part where I said I didn't care.
  16. Neither of them got caught
  17. Saves are a useless stat. They have no bearing whatsoever. Only reliever that I believe deserves entry is Mariano Rivera. Well Eckersley too but he was a starter for awhile.
  18. You must have forgotten a metric shitload in that case. I didn't miss the part where he never tested positive and was never proven to have used anything. More than that, I don't really care. Players try to get the best advantage they can in any sport during any time period. Thank Aaron cheated, Joe DiMaggio cheated, Mickey Mantle cheated, etc. I don't think for a second that every successful player in MLB isn't driven to do whatever it takes to be the best they can be. It's on the league to police that, not the players. Bonds and Clemens did what a large chunk of players already in the hall did; tried to get the best advantage they could. I guess it's hard to get into the head of someone so naive. You did because apparently PED use means no HOF vote in your eyes. If you didn't assume Piazza was clean you wouldn't vote for him. Logic is hard.
  19. Not at all shocking since you don't seem to have a very strong grasp on the game. You're an even bigger fool for assuming Piazza was clean. Lol seriously? Clemens never even got caught or admitted anything. This wishy washy and self righteous criteria would help you fit right in with Murray Chass and Marty Noble. You should apply to join the bbwaa.
  20. Ken Griffey Jr. Mike Piazza Jeff Bagwell Tim Raines Curt Schilling Roger Clemens Barry Bonds Edgar Martinez Mike Mussina Jim Edmonds Really hard to pick just ten...which is so perplexing since fewer than half of the voters did so.
  21. Gun to my head, I'd say both did because that would be the safest bet. Oh yeah, and I guess my whole point about how the bbwaa is full of retards and the need for change went right over your pea sized brain, eh?
  22. But Griffey didn't, right? You know this for sure
  23. How about I blame you for calling me a liar when you're just clueless?
