  1. From the f***ing bbwaa website, dipshit: Unless you're even dumber than I thought and don't know what the word "most" means.
  2. Congrats on winning a league 5 people semi care about GD. Put this one on your mantle beside your trophy for beating your stoner high school buds in fantasy baseball
  3. OK Abom
  4. Hell yeah. I still remember all the players who had a 10 batting rating. Tony Gwynn had to play second base
  5. You said it basically doesn't exist. That's what this whole kerfuffle is about.
  6. You explicitly said you had no bias, lol? You can't change things that happened by just stating something contradictory
  7. So basically saying "Alvarez sucks, no way we should sign him" equates one to being an interested party. Ok
  8. Exactly. Glad we are finally on the same page.
  9. It's not an argument. The logic usually follows that if there's an interesting name, people usually jump on that. Like when I said Steve Pearce or Chris Davis. No one is jumping on Alvarez. Why is that?
  10. Name one other poster who thinks signing Alvarez is a good idea and we can talk.
  11. It's best for your health to ignore everything this guy posts.
  12. I've learned to not be surprised about anything. A mediocre candidate in Jack Morris lasted his entire eligibility period on the ballot; Kevin Brown didn't get past the first. Their process is all kinds of f***ed. Seems like they are content to keep it that way, though.
  13. This is a test. The board is teaching you to trust your own instincts by offering GD as a consultant. It's best to learn the hard way.
  14. Dunno how you can say that when most of the voters don't use all of them.
  15. You don't "happen" to own players. You own players because you think they are useful, otherwise you'd just trade them away.
  16. I think he means your argument to sign Alvarez
  17. That he's even mentioned at all given our situation is a red flag. I can't really think of any other reason to bring him up. Don't worry, we all have inner biases. I really wanted John Lackey to sign here.
  18. It may be lazy, but it's true
  19. Sounds exactly like what someone with bias would say
  20. A lot of people should lose their voting rights but never do. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who hasn't used all ten spots the past few years should lose their vote but that's well over half of the entire pool.
  21. Seems like you're making far more assumptions than you think I am.
  22. Some guys have a legitimate rule that no player ever gets in on the first ballot I wish I was making that up
  23. Fire Shapiro Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I kinda wonder if Chris Davis is on their radar. Maybe he's badly overestimating his market and ends up with what Cruz got the one year he played for the Orioles...different situation of course but I think it's in the realm of possibility. In that scenario, he's probably looking at racking up counting stats and Toronto would be by far his best option for are bee eyes.
  24. Oh man, I'd love Steve Pearce but not holding my breath.
