  1. The bullpen is atrocious, but short of Beasley (is he even still on the roster?) that was the worst sub Charlie could have made. Stripling's pitch count was low enough to continue as well and it's not like he was getting hit hard, it was two grounders that got through with 2 out.
  2. I don't mind using Chatwood, but you don't put him into a game with 2 runners on when he has been struggling with command to the degree that he has. It's par for the course with Montoyo though.
  3. How does Montoyo still have a job? Like what the actual f***, it's just embarrassing at this point.
  4. I genuinely don't understand why you would put a guy who has struggled with command and high leverage situations into a game with 2 runners on. It's just moronic decision making no matter how you slice it.
  5. I'd settle for Groshans making it the whole season without a significant injury. Games played is going to be more significant for his development this year.
  6. I really f***ing hate Tellez, and I don't care that it was Semien's fault.
  7. Gurriel is the type of player who is always going to be susceptible to these types of years if he has an unlucky BABIP year.
  8. Its been that kind of stretch for the Jays lately.
  9. Bo really needs to become more selective if he wants to be an elite hitter. I don't care how good your bat to ball skills are, swinging at everything is not a recipe for long term success.
  10. How do we not have better options on the farm. I get that we have had injuries but this is just brutal.
  11. Switch pitchers. This ******* is going to walk the winning run in and everyone knows it.
  12. Not a surprising result with all the missed opportunities by the Jays.
  13. Jose Bautista the year he finished second in MVP voting was unconscious the first half of the season IIRC.
  14. I made the mistake of telling it to my colleagues at work too. They all let me have it this morning.
  15. Am I missing something, why didn't the 1B just touch the bag at 1st?
  16. I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but with the Pens and Panthers losing yesterday it is impossible for the Leafs to draw the Colorado Avalanche until the SCF should both teams make it that far. One of Boston/New York has to advance to the final 4 and thus they will be the low seed against Colorado/Vegas.
  17. Its more than just key pieces, we have basically lost every key pen arm this year to the DL save Chatwood (Yates, Phelps, Dolis, Merryweather, Romano, Castro) and every starter but Matz. Let's not pretend like every team is facing that level of adversity. None of this is to mention the position players or lack of a home field.
  18. Sure, but there are degrees of health. This is easily the most banged up the Jays have been since I became a fan in the early 2000's. I'm probably forgetting a stretch or two that is comparable, but the point is that it is an outlier.
