  1. Venditte is garbage. Side show is over. Tepara is garbage. Cecil and Storen have both lost 2-3mph. Chavez looks like garbage to me. We got the man Osuna and Floyd until his arm falls off, and basically nothing else. Shapiro might be licking his lips...few more weeks he gets to can Gibbons, few more months he gets to unload for prospects and rebuild HIS team. Maybe we can turn it around before then......
  2. Kinda funny to think by this time next year he could be flipping burgers to try to make ends meet. Almost feel bad for him.
  3. Mets are worried about how hard Thor is throwing, (elbow might not hold up) so they're sending us him for Dickey. Even trade cause were not getting d'naurd (why can't I spell that) back, so technically Mets still win the trade.
  4. Sucks when you pvr the channel they say it's on, sit down to watch the game and it's not the game.
  5. There are plenty of innings for Pompey to play on this team. Let Jose or Saunders DH occasionally, off day for Pillar here and there. Plus his speed off the bench would be valuable when he doesn't play.
  6. I understand guys need a day off, but what's with Gibby deciding more then one need it the same day? Spread the days off around for Christ sake. And why sit a red hot Saunders?!?!!!
  7. I guess his dfa date is today! I liked the guy but he sucks.
  8. Got to be Cola, keep the useless lefty bat over the useless righty.
  9. Now that the Pillar lead off joke is over, how long until management realizes carrying Smoak and Cola is a joke? Who goes to AAA, gets traded for a bag of balls, or just plain cut first?
  10. Tulo will be fine, Martin will be fine, EE will hit 10 homers in a week soon.
  11. I agree Jose screwed up. We lost, next. Feel bad for Moore today! Feel he's going to get s*** canned. Ken Rosenthal explained it well if anyone wants to go read his article. Anyway, I feel this new rule overall is bad for baseball and needs tweaking. Also don't think guys should get their legs broken so there has to be a better solution.
  12. I agree you shouldn't be allowed to grab a guys leg and interfere, I don't believe what Bautista did interfered....I just think Forsythe sucks and his throw was terrible. The tap on the leg was not noticeable until the replay. 4 umps didn't call it, I bet Cash took a shot in the dark at reviewing that play cause why not. I also agree no infielder should be getting injured at 2nd base, but I think a good slide where you hit the dirt a few feet in front of the bag is safe and a skill set of a middle infielder is to turn two under pressure....not anymore.
  13. I don't know the Utley rule admittedly, but can't we use some common sense...try to break a guys leg your out and suspended, slide through the bag like it's always been and your out. Tap a f***ing major leaguer on the leg and allow that be an excuse for a bad throw is pathetic. Middle infielders throw to first with guys all over them every god damn game until this year. Brutal rule change. Matty Moore and his left arm better be ready to battle tomorrow, I got a feeling a 10 spot is coming. The boys are pissed. God I love baseball. Wish I didn't have to work tomorrow. 159 more to go, then playoffs!!!
  14. My thoughts are, Donaldson, Bautista, EE, Tulo has to be historically 4 of the best hitters in a row, and I can't wait til Sunday. Merry Christmas fellow bluejays fans...opening day is almost here!
  15. I have no love for Zeke, but I understand the decision to make him 4th outfielder. I'm guessing he plays 1-2 games in April, guys don't need a day off yet, so why waste The Italian guy in the bench when you can use April to properly evaluate him in AAA. If someone gets injured, him or Pompey gets called up and Zeke continues to rot on the bench.
  16. I'll take 96 since no one else has yet. I'm confident we'll be 95+ this year.
  17. Went to my first spring game ever today. Happ looked good, averaged 93 on stadium radar. Penny was garbage, though it looked like he was throwing at 80% effort, which might be the case being his first outing. He hit 89 once, 88 twice I think (maybe once), and sat 87 on almost every pitch. Pompey seems so legit to me. Crushed his home run. Wind was blowing out quite hard to right field. Hard to tell, but Alford looked like he had 2 bad calls in his at bat. Likelier easier to see on tv. Rowdy smoked his single.
  18. Floyd should be one inning reliever, Hutch needs to prove he isn't done in AAA. Chavez and Sanchez is the actual battle in my mind.
  19. Jays win 97. Tulo leads the team in WAR. Bautista, Donaldson, Tulo all finish top 10 in AL MVP. Happ becomes Cliff Lee 2.0 Hutchison spends majority of season in AAA. Pompey dominates the spring, takes Saunders job and never looks back. Alford becomes a top 10 prospect in baseball. Sanchez gives up one hit all spring, with 5 walks, has 1 or 2 good starts in regular season, then tears his shoulder leaving us to forever argue if he is good.
  20. I agree with this, I went with Xbox over PlayStation for the first time ever with Xbox one, fairly disappointed...and Halo 5 looks nice and all but is quite boring and pointless. As for baseball games, I haven't enjoyed a baseball vid since Baseball Stars on Nintendo about 50 or so years ago.
  21. Welcome to the board.....Jeff Blair.
  22. Sadly Blair is just guessing, and even worse, his guesses are no better then yours or mine. Many years ago Blair was decent. You'd think by now he would have a few legitimate sources.
  23. Both would glady accept a trade in season to a contender to whipe draft pick compensation away.
  24. I'm guessing he wants 1,2 or maybe even 3 years at 30sh mil, then a couple years added after, maybe year 4 at 20 and year 5 at 15....of course $ amount spread out differently over the 5 years, perhaps back loaded. That's 5 years at 125 mil. I'm guessing he gets close on the open market....if not exactly that. In this case, forget the draft pick. Sign him. Rogers needs to step up. DH him in years 3-5. Say bye to Edwin unfortunately though.
  25. I'm going Martin, and when Dickey pitches I let Pompey have a shot while Thole bats 9th.
