  1. It is. But to me. It's better then mediocre. This signals something is truly wrong... that he is not just bad... but something must be physically wrong.
  2. Take the rest of the year off. Go on the Delabar program (grasping at straws). Something is seriously wrong.
  3. Romero looks to end the pain tonight in Buffalo. Poor guy. Look at his pic for his profile in the Bison's uniform. He looks devastated
  4. I always think of the guy from revenge of the nerds that won the tricycle race... Never saw Pretty In Pink.
  5. None of the above.... He s extremely frustrated with himself and freaked out over the first perceived wrong. It was a douche bag thing to do. But it's over.
  6. Going to be funny listening to Jeff Blair tommorow. He hates Kawasaki.
  7. And a lights out closer at that. Could be a perfect setup man... Closers come from nowhere... Burn bright and flame out fast... Maybe people in the know can tell us if his stuff is better or if he's just dominating lesser competition. I was wondering the same as you. Juan Perez is another guy, he looked like he had some dirty stuff in spring training and has done ok in Buffalo. Wonder why he hasn't got a look.
  8. Pillar 3 for 3 today with a walk. Guy has a gift for hitting.
  9. Well, I didn't hear what he said... but if he said the right things, I will take your word for it. That's it issue over with. He has a tonne of passion, you can tell he's frustrated as hell at how he's playing (at the plate).... and losing your cool, is just going to happen. The important thing is how you react when you make a mistake. If he did it the correct way..... and meant it............. that's where it ends.
  10. Did Lawrie run out in the scrum to end the game?
  11. Really? Everything? Someones favorite movie? Political preference? All have been validated by math?
  12. This board has the best hindsight GMs money can buy.
  13. Lawrie is young... Lawrie did a stupid thing. That's ok, young people that intense go nuts over nothing once in a while (Gordiedougie)... It's important to see how he handles it. Lets see if he is capable of that before I judge.
  14. Wow... Gave up after it went 5-2. Great to watch. Absolutely disgusting behavior by Lawrie. He needs to get in front of cameras and apporigize for that... That's the man thing to do.
  15. I'm not going to argue, you may have a point. There is a tendency for saber-metrics minded people to ignore something or pretend it doesn't exist if they can't somehow put it on a spreadsheet. There were a lot that argued PED's didn't help, because there seemed to be no predictable rate of increase of power, velocity, ect.
  16. Yes grammer correction... And a question about how long I expect to live.... That apparently went no where.... Did I ever.
  17. Fair enough. If you call me out on a stupid statement, I will defend, clairify or acknowledge... It happens.
  18. If I were you I wouldn't enjoy talking to me either. If you stop making stupid posts.... then you will enjoy it more. You made a stupid statement. You could have acknowledged it... Or better yet, not make it in the 1st place. But I can understand you not wanting to be called out on stupid statements.
  19. Is Andy Burns a scrub or something more? I heard nothing about him until this year.
  20. I didn't ask you the question, "Why are RBI's a flawed stat?" I asked "Why should it not need to be explained to a casual fan why RBI's are a flawed statistic?" Do you see the difference? You said: I completely disagree with that notion. Even serious baseball fans give too much credit to the RBI stat. Miguel Cabrera won the MVP, in part because he produced the most RBI's. I listened to baseball players use that in their argument to support their argument over Mike Trout. So the question is. If actual players and voters for MVP have a serious misconception of the RBI stat.... Why wouldn't the casual fan? And more importantly, why should they not have it explained to them?
  21. Really? Why? Why should it not need to be explained to a casual fan why RBI's are a flawed statistic? I'm sure you had it explained to you. Actually you couldn't be more wrong. It very much needs to be explained to casual fans why RBIs are a flawed stat. The stat is still held on very high regard and its a big reason why last years MVP won.
  22. The biggest thing the Jays need right now is very very good 2nd baseman. They need Hech back from Miami he might have saved 3 runs today by being able to properly turn a dp... He can't hit... But his glove is what the Jays need.
  23. I certainly agree with you on some points. Not having Thole up is a big mistake IMO... Who I would think at least deserves to be catching 50%. The theory seemed fine. But with the season where it is at, they should change course. Do you really think the Jays signed Derrossa for his pep talks? He's a bench guy... I'm sure there may have been a better option, but the season is not lost because of a bench player.
  24. Really? What's the easy part about being a GM? Is it AAs fault Lawrie is hitting under .200? Or that Johnson is hurt? Or Reyes? AA put together a great team. If they don't live up to expectations... Then that's baseball it happens.
  25. the team is in a tough spot right now. I think AA is the right guy to turn it around. Despite what arm chair gm's on here think. It's a tough job, putting together a winning team.
