  1. Even last year when he had an ERA of .844, scouts still really liked him...and of course everyone one of the box score readers on the board hated him... calling him another AA bust pick. I think there are going to be a few peaks and valleys for him yet.
  2. If he schmoozed them for a couple of weeks, they would probably try him at ss.
  3. He's probably not near as good as he is showing. I'm sure everyone will blame the Jays.... though on the old board almost NO ONE liked him last year.
  4. Yes he does. He was good all game, save for the last 2 batters.
  5. I love Dirk. But don't always agree with him. This is one if those cases. I don't think pitchers are as mentally fragile as he thinks.
  6. They will be ready. But not really for the big club... Apparently it takes about 6 months to feel right.
  7. Sweet.
  8. Your thread should have been the one deleted. There is only one member on this board that should be able to make the Epy Guerrero thread.
  9. I would have to disagree, that it equates to a coin flip. I don't think it's as cold as that. You hear NBA players talk about seeing the basket as big as a lake when they feel on.... and you hear similar about baseball players as well. Take Edwin..... when he used to be streaky and was off, you could see it at the plate that he was wayyyyyy off... and like wise when he was on. I am sure that if a player is feeling confidence... and likewise a pitcher is seeing the stats that a batter is putting up... that effects things. In this case Jose fought off a tough pitch for the win.... so the pitcher didn't crumble at all. I wonder if JPA was hitting where Lind was, if Maddon would have walked JB and EE to get to him.
  10. You make a good case against JPA... But going after someone for spelling mistakes, either on a message board or twitter is kinda pathetic.
  11. The funny thing is, he must of had 20 or so counts where he had 3 balls.
  12. Of course there is. Bautista had a hot bat. Some one on the Rays forum said the problem with Maddon is that he will see 3/4 and bet he can't go 4/5. Or see a guy walk 3 guys in a row and think there is no way he will walk a 4 th.
  13. Only 6.5 games out of a wildcard spot.... that with being 8 games below .500. Still a big chance.
  14. I think you take him out. Back to the top of the order... I wouldn't want to see him fall apart after pitching so well.
