  1. Goins has to be held accountable. Absolutely brutal.
  2. Pages 100-105 of this thread are probably the greatest things ever.
  3. One minute you're arguing about how Brian Jeroloman is the backup catcher of the future and the next you're watching Joey f***in' bats do THAT. Cheers e-bro's
  4. lets f***ing go Can't wait for Bautista to push Ventura's s*** in.
  5. Bautista's bat toss was probably the greatest thing like.. ever.
  6. Absolutely breathtaking... but the job is not finished. Enjoy tonight. It all starts again Friday. Amazing. Absolutely Amazing. Bautista is a legend.
  7. Has Osuna been THAT impressive in the playoffs? He got hit hard a few times but luckily they were line drives directly at guys. Sanchez has been noticeably impressive. I feel comfortable giving him 2 innings.
  8. Today is the day Edwing breaks through. He's been so close the last few games.
  9. It's the biggest game in 22 years. If your arm isn't in a sling, you should be available and willing.
  10. Hawkins has pitched long enough for his splits to mean something. He's not effective against LHH. He's a mop up man at this point.
  11. Are you joking? Hawkins will not see any high leverage situations unless there is nobody left.
  12. Must be a pretty serious family emergency for Loup to miss this much time. Hopefully nothing too bad.
  13. Words cannot describe how excited I am. Celebration down by the dome is going to be electric and I plan on being right in the middle of it!
  14. These are definitely the types of numbers that would motivate Rogers to open the chequebook during the offseason though. I can't even imagine how much more they're bringing in via ad revenue.
  15. So according to Wiki... Keeps this in perspective. Still amazing numbers though. Canada[edit] The most watched television broadcast in Canadian history was the Gold medal game of the men's hockey tournament at the 2010 Winter Olympics, played between the United States and Canada at General Motors Place (renamed "Canada Hockey Place" for the Olympics) in Vancouver. A confirmed 16.6 million Canadians watched the whole game, roughly one-half of the country's entire population.[35] A groundbreaking 26.5 million Canadians watched some part of the game, over 80 percent of the country's 34-million-person population.[36] According to multiple sources, 13.3 million Canadians watched the Opening Ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, which was the previous record.[37] Many believed the final game of the 1972 Summit Series had up to 18 million viewers, but this was not so; only 4.3 million people watched it. 10.3 million people watched the ice hockey gold medal final of the 2002 Winter Olympics.[38]
  16. These are insane numbers. Absolutely mind blowing. This has to be one of the highest watched Canadian program of alltime?
  17. Someone in that Fangraphs article posted this: I think you’ve missed the boat. You write “Gibbons managed based on an old adage — that you manage one game at a time in the postseason — but the Blue Jays are trying to win a series.” Not true. The Blue Jays are trying to win a CHAMPIONSHIP, not ust this series, and I think Gibbons was playing the long game here. At the time Gibbons pulled Dickey, the Jays had become a heavy favorite to advance to the ALCS – 96% win prob in G4 + playing G5 at home with the SP of one’s choice (Price or Stroman). At which point the question pivots to, which pitcher do you want to have available to make 3 starts in the ALCS, and how do you ensure said pitcher is at his best then? To which the answers are: Price; and, get him some action (having just seen that giving him 11 days rest didn’t improve his game). -- Imagine if Gibby was actually trolling everyone and his main intention was to get Price the most possible starts in the ALCS?
  18. At the end of the day we have a legit top of the rotation pitcher starting for us in game 5 and our pen is fresh. We're set up perfectly.
