  1. Gotta be prospects coming back
  2. Pretty hard to say that the Raps are a true contender until they make it past the first round... but this is clearly the best Raptors team of alltime. If Carroll can come back and play to his potential we have a real shot at making the ECF. (Ross making everyone, including myself, shut up.. Still not fooled though)
  3. No excuses to not let Osuna at least compete for the rotation now.
  4. So... Carroll had arthroscopic knee surgery today. Guy has been a complete bust. His health problems are definitely much worse than we've been told.
  5. From being the GM of the only team in your home country to becoming some minion working in an office where clearly nobody is going to listen to you. Good move Alex.
  6. Condensing everything into that one thread is so dumb. It's perfect for minor moves but I used to love coming on the board to see threads discussing the big moves. So many things get lost in the shuffle.
  7. You're aware that the source already recanted his claims right? This sounds like total ********.
  8. I actually don't hate this team this year. Good defensive effort and the ball movement has been better. Is Biyombo actually good? The team always seems to be in minus territory whenever he's on the court but he's been noticeably effective on the glass. He's still very young so maybe we found a diamond in the rough.
  9. http://www.forums.mlb.com/discussions/Toronto_Blue_Jays/General/BA_HOt_Sheet__Zach_Stewart/ml-bluejays/67942.19?redirCnt=1&nav=messages "What about Stewarts stuff would not allow him to be an ace?" And then you proceeded to use him and Johan Santana in the same breath. http://www.forums.mlb.com/discussions/Toronto_Blue_Jays/General/Zach_Stewart/ml-bluejays/76061.8?nav=messages ITT^ you call him blue chip and compare him to Tim Hudson! Merry Christmas!
  10. I long for the days where Grant would constantly refer to Zach Stewart as the closest thing to a can't miss prospect we'll ever see.
  11. Carmona still induces groundballs like a boss. Throw in the apparent slower turf/elite defense in JD, Tulo, and Goins/Travis and we might have a useful pitcher next year.
  12. Cecil gonna get PAID next year. With a dominant year 8-10M per isn't out of reach.
  13. Who do you give the bulk of the backup center minutes to once JV gets back? Biyombo or Bebe? (Obviously Casey has already chosen Biyombo but still).
  14. Pelfrey is pure trash and he's going to end up with like 50-60M in career earnings when all is said and done. Scott Boras is very good at his job.
  15. Since Ross signed his extension: 10 GP 17 MPG 3.3 PPG 0.5 APG 26% FG% A grand total of THREE free throw attempts (and two of those were a result of a clear path foul towards him!) Completely useless.
  16. Updated Sox payroll: http://www.spotrac.com/mlb/boston-red-sox/ Some horrendous contracts on there.
  17. Per Sportsnet: "In the 196 minutes that the two point guards have shared the floor together this season, the Raptors are outscoring opponents by 17.2 points per-100 possessions, according to data from NBA.com. That makes them the most effective and one of the most used point guard duos in the NBA so far this season, and it’s little surprise that Casey has continued playing them double-digit minutes together as a result." Corey Joe has been a great signing. Really like their chemistry together.
  18. I like it. Best case scenario, they find a way to acquire/sign another quality starter and Chavez moves into a swingman role ala Estrada from the 1st half of last year. Rotation depth is there now. Offence is #1 by a mile. Just need to pick up a few fireballers for the pen and we're ready to go.
  19. How is he unlikable? His teammates adore him.
  20. Ross out indefinitely with torn ligament in his thumb. lol Too easy to make a video game joke.
  21. It's hindsight 101.. and it's also a very small sample size.. but a ton of people wanted Masai to pick Clint Capela two years back (Bruno draft) and now he's looking like he could actually become something really good. Annoying.
  22. I could see why someone would draft Ross with a high pick. He's a good shooter and has great athleticism. Unfortunately they vastly overestimated his desire to succeed.
  23. People are justifying it by saying that this is the new normal in the NBA because of the salary cap rising. It was a terrible signing. Ross is lazy and has shown zero signs of improvement since he joined the league.
  24. Two observations: 1. Terrance Ross sucks 2. Andre Drummond is really good
  25. JV is a complete stud. He had so many things going against him last year, namely: -Horrible perimeter defense from Lou/GV/Ross always forced him to step up which would inevitably leave him out of position or forced to take a stupid foul.. He developed a reputation of being a poor defender because of this IMO -GV and Lou would almost never give him the ball. The only guy who would pass to him consistently was Lowry The guy has great post moves and still moves well despite being the weight gain. I can see him averaging 18/10 this year.
