    Stupid. They won 66 games last year and have a massive amount of holes. They should be donig a full rebuild. Eat 20-30M of the Mauer contract and get whatever you can for him.

    Terrence Ross is going to be out of the league in a few years. He's really nothing special at all. He and Amir are both trade bait IMO. Amir has an expiring contract next year so he should be a valuable chip.

    6M for Defoe. Guy is still in his prime. He's looked fantastic for Tottenham when they''ve played in Europe the last few months. I LOVE this move. I'll be at the home opener specifically because of this move. Tim Leiweke (sp) is god damn leader of men.

    The deal is really not that bad... Smith is a fantastic reliever who will give them 60-70 innings. IIRC Scott Downs had an identical contract and easily earned his money. The Angels have no idea how to spend money, but this is not a terrible contract.

    The Jays get huge ratings. They absolutely won't be "pushed to the backburner". If anything, it shows how badly Rogers wants to be a dominant force in everything that it does. There is a lot of money available for this team to spend. lol @ TSN. What are they going to fill their programming with? They don't even have that much Raptors coverage. The CFL? Disgusting.

    Nolasco is an outstanding pitcher. Since 2009 he is 25th in baseball with 15 WAR. Tied with Gio Gonzalez, Edwin Jackson, Hiroki Kuroda and just behind the likes of Matt Cain and CJ Wilson. He'd be a phenomenal pickup.

    The ENTIRE Atlantic Divison is < .500 right now. Both Brooklyn and the Knicks are massive busts. The lottery will likely be rigged so Wiggins and Parker go to those two teams.
