  1. Zobrist f***ed up his thumb. He'll be out for a least a little while. Don't get ahead of yourself.
  2. This is what you get when you f*** up routine defensive plays. Looking at you Adam Lind
  3. Was going to suggest them throwing Ogando back into the rotation but, christ, he's been horrible this year. If they didn't yo-yo that guy like they've done they might've had a really good starter in him.
  4. Funny how most people were disappointed in Jake and Nicolino going the other way. Alvarez was a bit of an afterthought because of the s***** K numbers... Hech had no bat. Desclafani was some fringe-prospect/org guy. Now Alvarez looks like an established mid-rotation starter, Hech's bat is slowly coming along, and Desclafani is making his MLB debut after doing quite well in the minors. If Nicolino and Marisnick develop... it'll be in the same ballpark as the Colon for Lee/Phillips/Sizemore deal.
  5. Pillar getting a lot of love on this board the last few days. Are we watching the same player out there? I get it that he can hit minor league pitching... but so far he's looked completely overmatched (albeit in a small sample) against MLB pitching. Gose has at least shown glimpses of being able to stick in the bigs. His D is a sure thing. What does Pillar provide that is a sure thing?
  6. JPA update: .132/.186/.245 with a .194 wOBA (which hilariously equals his batting avridge from last year). He has miraculously gotten worse at almost everything this year.
  7. Tony Brothers strikes again. The NBA NEEDS to hold these refs accountable.
  8. Can Kevin Pillar stick? 31K/4BB so far in his very short stint in the big leagues. Not a promising start.
  9. Wow... Yunel just made a ridiculously tough play look incredibly easy. I hope someone else just saw that.
  10. Wow a closer who doesn't walk in half of the ballpark! Welcome back Casey. Santos will never be able to hold a candle to you <3
  11. Pillar has one of the ugliest, loopiest swings I have seen in a long time. You can't actually like him as a prospect, right?
  12. Stick a fork in the Rays, they're done!
  13. Josh Lewenberg @JLew1050 Follow Greivis Vasquez on high school teammate Kevin Durant: "Hopefully I get to play with him one day in the NBA & hopefully it's here in Toronto" 7:21 PM - 12 May 2014 1. GV and Durant were HS teammates (see pic below) http://images.tsn.ca/images/stories/2014/05/12/greivisvasquezhighschool_3202-620x426.jpg 2. Durant's favorite team growing up was the Raps 3. Raps have a lot of cap space opening up when he's a FA Durant or Die Trying
  14. Gose is clearly in the doghouse. He did something. This is a personal thing, not based on talent. He should've been up from day 1
  15. AA should clearly be able to trade Buehrle for a good package at some point this season. He clearly won't though.
  16. Only three more guaranteed years at 66M
  17. Advice: Don't become a Blue Jays fan
  18. Tracy McGrady baseball debut in the Independent League Props to him, he actually looks good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJKFnO-FHDw&feature=youtu.be
  19. AA will keep Gibby around until July and then can him. Can't use the scape-goat card too soon.
