Dude, one of my favourite Jays advertisements growing up was the one that goes "It's not about how important every pitch is, it's about the time between pitches" and that's so true. I feel like any other sporting event I can't turn and have a conversation about what i just saw or will see or anything because the ball is constantly in play, this is the only sport where it's possible to do this. Obviously the changes Manfried will make won't effect that but it's just to further highlight that the length of a baseball game isn't an issue but should be a positive -
I don't think this commissioner consults fans, because I doubt most of the ideas that he's throwing out would be appreciated by many fans. Sure, there are lots of cases where fans are resilient to change but this isn't one of them What's next, maximum 2 extra innings before having a draw? A 3rd win column for extra innings wins like hockey? I don't get why he's trying to remove things unique to this game and add the same s*** present in many other sports

Seriously. You'll save more time buy cutting out any questionable calls that will lead to a manager storming on the field and getting tossed than automating intentional walks. Also on a side note, how come he still hasn't implemented the idea that managers have like a 5 second window from dead ball to call for a review? Managers these days take 30-60 seconds interacting with the clubhouse to decide whether or not to review a call -

f*** Manfried. The 1 minute you save on something that happens once every maybe 30-40 gamedays won't increase youth participation. How about he actually looks at other ways to involve kids rather than cut out parts of the game that aren't broken and won't affect anything -

I think this team can pull off like 86 wins and sneak into a wild card spot, all we lost is Edwin and a couple of BP pieces. I don't think the +1 in age to all the vets and the additions of Morales + Pearce - Edwin equals to 5 wins lost. I guess it depends on how strong the division is this year

IMO I loved the view in the 500 level directly behind home plate way more than any outfield seat I've been in. The place I really want to try out is 3rd base side 2nd deck, I loved 3rd base side field level but when the sun is out its brutal lol

State of the Franchise doesn't make sense with this new regime because they are constantly more open and they always talk to the media. Plus we went from only having AA to comment to both Atkins and Shapiro (Beeston talking to the media added nothing of value), so what more are they gonna tell us that we don't already know? But I agree with Hurl, there should be some new perk added in then, but I'm sure they'll find something to add -
Also like the incentive, cheap and gives him reason to try his best to get back to the majors (as if getting back to the MLB isn't big enough incentive)
