  1. He was really good at BP management last year and the year before. We just really had a s*** BP. With the exception of Hendriks I think he used the BP decently well this year (in the Post Season he was trash because he overthought every move). If we improve the BP and have more than one serviceable LOOGY, Gibby's BP decisions will improve too
  2. Generally speaking you'd want your best hitter batting second. Gibby's batting order is really good
  3. Uhhhhh you think Travis would have put up those numbers throughout the entire year? You're comparing the numbers of a guy who played a 1/4 of the year to a full season, come on
  4. What more balanced lineup? You do know that Donaldson reaches on base more likely than Travis right?
  5. Yeah, what the actual f***. We have the best offence in baseball. Just get a couple of starters and fix the BP and we're taking the AL East by a landslide
  6. There is forum proof to back this lol. 90% of the board was against the Dickey trade when it was just TDA for Dickey, let alone TDA + Syndr for Dickey.
  7. Agreed. We should go with Pompey in the OF unless we can't get good enough value for Revere on the market. Then Revere would start. No need to go for a guy like Span, unless we're moving Bautista to 1B and EE to DH permanently.
  8. Because he's been solid. We're losing Buehrle and Price out the rotation, why not stabilize him if AA can get him on a team friendly contract like he's done with EE and Bautista in the past? If he can preform anywhere near this year it would be great, but I wouldn't rely on him as a front of the line pitcher, but more of a back end stabilizer. With Marcus heading the rotation and Marco + Dickey rounding it out, we'd have to fill in with 2 great starters and we'd be set. Unless we really want to experiment with Osuna/Sanchez. We have Hutchison too, but we need more reliable options at this point.
  9. I meant resign Estrada long term, around 3 years
  10. Sign Estrada to an extension. Resign Lowe as well. We need more starters and more BP arms. We have Revere and Collabello as our easier-to-let-go pieces, especially with Travis coming back to fill the offensive void. We'll be in great shape
  11. Same here. Lineups returning. We're probably going to lock Estrada in on a multi or get a draft pick for him, and lock up Donaldson for a loooooooooooooooong time. We got lots of money now. We sign or trade for a starter and bullpen pieces we'll be prime. We have Revere, Navvy and Colabello as excellent trade candidates. Great makeup for next year.
  12. That's true but those extra strikes to Navarro and Revere put them down to 2 strikes each time, that has an effect on the team. Donaldson couldn't too much with what he had left But we should have done more earlier, for sure.
  13. Happy birthday! Man I'm proud our team. No matter what. I cooled down after everything and you know what, it's fine. We'll be here next year. We'll get a top starter, possible few bullpen pieces here and here, and we'll be bonified #1 favorites for the crown. We can't keep relying on 5+ runs a game but if we can tweak the pitching we'll be set. Awesome season guys, let the OT ramblings begin!
  14. Pillar shoulda bunted man, Smoak wouls gaurentee flyball
