    Allen's BA scouting report pre-draft It was IMG's post-grad team that featured Jacob Nix and, briefly, Brady Aiken that made most of the headlines this spring, but the academy's high school team had several prospects of its own. Allen, a native of Asheville, N.C., who transferred to IMG before his junior year, is the best of the bunch. He has gotten stronger since last summer and has seen his velocity tick up as a result, going from throwing his fastball in the mid to upper 80s to sitting in the low 90s with the pitch. He also tightened his breaking ball and is throwing it with more power, making it look more like a slider. He shows some feel for a changeup and also throws a bigger breaking curveball, giving him a full arsenal. Allen works around the zone and has a good understanding of his craft. He is committed to South Carolina. Kiley McDaniel had him ranked 100th of the 2015 draftees

    Fair enough. I'm glad Hamilton finally got an OHL team back, couldn't stand the AHL. I guess when the cream of the crop (influential labs) meet your bread & butter (entomology) it's like an epic party.

    I wasn't knocking the Soo. But really there can't be a lot going on up there. As for Hamilton being a shithole, yep it is. Inept City Councils for over 100 years. And the City has this mentality that I hate, "the hand out, woe is us" But my family & job are here, and I hate commuting.

    You're right. And I also don't know if Pillar will make the greatest catch of all time by jumping from the CN Tower and make a catch on the field and live.

    (Using the Nats as an example to my exaggerated post) The Nationals have had a problem coming close to expectations the past few years with a stud lineup and rotation. I believe there would be a decent drop in attendance if the Jays failed to make the playoffs in 2016 I don't understand why fans would stop going to games or following the Jays because they didn't hit on expectations.

    Say the Jays upped the payroll to $150m and missed the playoffs in 2016. I would expect an exodus of fans and I really don't get that. If you ask for something and it happens, and the results don't match up with expectations. How can they abandon ship after being provided with what they asked for?
