  1. But we shouldn't dive into long term, big money contracts because..........albatross But Buehrle.... But okay, 'cause it panned out
  2. 'magine we gave Price 25-30m per...... Way better pitcher, younger when acquired, worth every penny.
  3. Did I say it was? I just prefer exactly what the Cubs and Astros have done. And it's not like this is recent stuff, I've been saying it for years.
  4. And to think, I got shredded all the time about youth movements and value.
  5. Dude, he never mentioned Hanley or Pablo.
  6. Didn't we just pay Buehrle pretty much the same and most of the forum sucked the cock of that deal.
  7. The best is when they openly cheer for routine Jays flyballs that fall into OF'ers gloves. "Diehards" should have some sort of depth perception.
  8. Count me in!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. True. But then they can't whine or complain when a trade is made or free agent signed, because they would be completely oblivious to what we're receiving in the trade. Thus mouth should be closed and opinions kept to themselves. But we know this not to be the case, like ever. I don't expect much from the Jays crowds. Hence why good baseball fans appreciate good plays by both teams.
  10. I know exactly where the problem lies. When the Jays are batting and they hit a flyball to normal OF depth, the stadium goes bananas because every flyball = homerun So you misconstrued the cheering for a opponent's good defensive play because the fans cheer for everything now.
  11. Wouldn't they have to be paying attention to the game to appreciate the play?
  12. Imagine if jinx's were real.
  13. I don't understand why there isn't more love or appreciation thrown around baseball for FO's, teams, players....etc Too funny when an opposing player makes a tremendous defensive play at the RC and Jays fans actually boo the play.
  14. If they were in a beautiful park there'd be nothing to complain about. Being a frugally run org. is interesting to watch because the team squeezes talent out of some unlikely players.
  15. I appreciate this strategy
  16. Canadian innings for days. Give the 20,000 diehards who haven't been to a game in 22 years something to look forward to.
  17. Yeah, Lind would've easily been gunned on the play.
  18. Remember when Cito went from being a God in '92 & 93. To really sucking in '94? I wonder what happened?
  19. Record before Tulowitzki & Price were traded for = Not Manager of the Year
  20. Around the parks nothing's gonna happen. If you're getting away from the parks, Detroit is by far the worst, Oakland is just really, really dark. I parked too far from Turner and ended up losing my landmark, because the skyline was lost from late afternoon to night. Took me an hour walking through downtown Atlanta to find a cross street and found the lot. It was more of being uncomfortable in a dark downtown at night, by myself.
  21. I'd say a fair number would be zero. Unless he started the conversation and pushed it.
  22. Um, okay
  23. I haven't been to a game in Toronto since just before the deadline. I don't go to games, because that's the thing to do. Or because the team is winning. Pittsburgh, Detroit, Cleveland, New York have all been preferred destinations this year. Sure it would be intense to be at a great game with a packed house, but let's not pretend that these extra 20,000 screamers are actual fans.
