So you're fine with Ruben Amaro's teams the past few years because Howard & Co. were still performing. Badly, but still performing. Where does it fail? In Fantasy Ball? Cubs, Cards, Phillies, Astros seem to be doing fine with their real life builds from within. So it must be Fantasy Ball. Maybe if I picked the cutest players that would be a better strategy eh? Your record speaks for itself. -
Nope. I just love to see doors opening for players to make the majors and play. It makes me feel good that Zagunis Ilgauskas could possibly suit up as the backstop for the Cubbies

Well, I don't need to see legacies unravelling or Retirement Tours. So net a couple picks to help restock the farm. Put the money that would've been spent towards younger more versatile free agents/extensions. That kinda thing. -
But the question is, if Moya had someone help him put on the catching gear. Do you think he could catch? Ausmus could give him some pointers. And being 6'7" might be a problem, but he could talk to Joe Mauer and see how he did it. Win, win for everyone.

Then they need to be shown the door at the end of the season. There's no reason the Jays should be dumping close to, or in excess of 20m+ per into DH's & 1B types. -

Attempt to move both Edwin & Jose before the deadline. At the same time Shapiro should be all in on Yulieski Gurriel, recently declared a free agent by MLB. The Gurriels hinted at wanting to stay together, so make a big play on Lourdes following the season when he's not subject to IFA money. If the Jays don't receive suitable offers for Jose or Edwin let them walk at the end of 2016 and net the Comp picks. Yulieski & Lourdes could replace Jose & Edwin on the roster. 2017 Lineup C-Martin 1B-Smoak 2B- Y.Gurriel/Travis SS- Tulowitzki/L.Gurriel 3B-Donaldson LF-Saunders/L.Gurriel CF-Pompey RF-Pillar/L.Gurriel DH- L.Gurriel The team gets younger, defence improves, offence I'm assuming takes a slight hit, payroll goes up a bit & the farm gets a big injection if Jose & Edwin are left to walk for Comp picks or we net pieces in trade to pump the farm or roster. -
