  1. So let's assume LBJ or Teo plus a prospect is enough for Lindor with an extension. Does Biggio move to 3B and Bichette to 2B, and someone like JBJ signed for CF? How would you move the pieces?
  2. So out of Biggio/LBJ/Teo who would you prefer to move for Lindor? This is the question that was asked.
  3. I'm looking at the 30% K rate and .350 BABIP. Feel more confident in Gurriel maintaining a 120 or greater wrC+ going forward.
  4. Bauer might be the best thing MLB has going right now.
  5. I will have a bit of time during the election excitement to review trade offers tonight.
  6. Without the loss of prospects. Don't agree with moving prospects to get a Bryant who will likely leave in 2 years. No problem with signing a Springer. Cost is cash only and the salary can be structured to improve the chances of retaining the core later on.
  7. Jays should be in contact with all 4, for sure.
  8. Would be a huge immediate boost but to retain him after his 2022 walk year would require a lengthy and large $$ commitment. Would rather reserve those dollars to make sure the current core can be retained, and keep the prospect capital that could turn into cheap useful talent.
  9. What do you guys think of Joc for the Jays? 28 yrs old, average 118 wRC+ for his career. Yes the defense is suspect. edit - forget it, platoon OF
  10. Who the f*** knows. I don't think there is much logic to what Law says, a lot of it is his gut talking.
  11. The contract for elite guys like a Springer who are getting multi year deals can be structured accordingly. $10M in 2021 made up by higher amounts in future years. That will deal with the 2021 cash flow situation. Jays are in an enviable financial position and can make these types of deals.
  12. SWR is only 20. Reliever risk with 20 yr old pitcher is kind of a given, and not so or a lot less so for a top SP out of college like Manoah. Here's hoping Law is wrong, again.
  13. Great job not comprehending my post.
  14. Possibly they see a depressed FA market and plan to take advantage. Get rid of players at pre-COVID salaries and replace with COVID salaried players.
  15. Give Brodie some money, he'll find a way to waste it.
  16. TLR put the pitcher in the 8th spot in the order!
  17. Very. I was just surfing the free agent list in my baseball leagues for White Sox relievers. TLR goes through relievers like candy.
  18. Full article on unwritten rules, with the La Russa quotes. Complete with Blue Jays reference. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2020/08/22/baseball-unwritten-rules-fernando-tatis-jr/ Unsportsmanlike conduct to me is some of the s*** A-Rod pulled.
  19. Buck's non-use is indefensible. Kevin's move is slightly defensible.
  20. Beautiful presentation.
  21. Yes, that would be a lineup downgrade. If he was versatile, he would be useful for his speed, defense, and league average'ish bat - not as a regular starter but a guy that gets ~350 AB playing around the diamond. He doesn't give that, so pass.
  22. If Wong had versatility I'd see him as a good Jays target. But he's been exclusively a 2B except for a few hundred innings in the OF in 2016.
