    Yes, although I hope he is developed and used to play all over the diamond, this would maximize his value.

    Exactly, PEAK team is waiting on a couple of prospect pieces, particularly from the trio of Pearson, Manoah, SWR. One of the more interesting thing to follow this year is who they use out of the bullpen, it's clear to me Shatkins wants to develop a bullpen using the plethora of fringe No. 5 starter arms they have. It's too bad Merryweather got hurt just when he looked like closer material.

    FWIW: Latest News Apr 23, 10:54 PM EDT EDT Springer (quadriceps) will be monitored after Friday's intrasquad game and could make his season debut Sunday against the Rays, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports. Analysis Springer played center field and sprinted at least five times during a simulated game at the Blue Jays' alternate training site Friday. The next step in his recovery will depend on how he feels following his appearance in the sim game, but manager Charlie Montoyo said that there's a possibility that Springer could return to game action for Sunday's series finale in Tampa Bay. Also, Pearson pitched in the simulated game, but probably want to build him up for starter or bulk reliever duties.
