  1. yeah wtf was that baseball 101 is steal more if you have a weak hitting lineup, small ball. steal less if a strong lineup
  2. It's a bit different when the matter is between two employees.
  3. Thanks. If there was an agreement, it would have included a release where the complainant agrees not to pursue the matter further, including by civil claim against Alomar. Jays and MLB would have insisted on this. The matter is finito.
  4. Filing a civil claim is not necessary for parties to come to a settlement. By parties I mean the Jays, MLB, and the complainant.
  5. That's your opinion, I have mine. We don't have any of the details.
  6. Level of Excellence is a marketing thing as I mentioned. No organization, Rogers/Jays or otherwise, is going to use a person that commits a sexual transgression in their marketing. Not in 2021. This was an out of court settlement in the interests of all parties. No one wants a court shitshow. No doubt there was $$ to the complainant as part of the settlement and confidentiality agreement to protect identities. All we will get is rumours. Also, this would have been handled by Rogers legal. Shatkins would have had nothing to do with it.
  7. who gives a fack about the level of excellence marketing gimmick
  8. Kiriloff with his first 2 MLB taters
  9. How? There was an independent, external investigation by a neutral party. And keep in mind if the investigation arrives at the wrong conclusion, Alomar is free to sue for millions in damages.
  10. No, this is sadist thinking. No thought of the harm done to others?
  11. You don't want King texting you, yet here you are slagging him? Seems counter productive.
  12. Its not even a question that the bastard, after signing for $24M, mailed it in.
  13. Yeah, that's how it works with private HR matters. MLB and the Jays are not going to breach confidentiality rules in this case. Alomar can sue if he wants, but that will likely be a closed proceeding.
  14. 90% of the population doesn't give a s*** about this.
  15. no such thing as a moral fence, morality is subjective and individual this matter is about specific written policies and laws and whether Alomar violated them
  16. Legal process is just one process. There are also organization policies and liability concerns. And the burden of proof for civil liability is not the innocent until proven guilty criminal threshold. Its balance of probabilities. Basically, once MLB has a policy in place, there is potential liability if they don't follow it, or follow it inconsistently. Robbie was found to have violated the policy, these are the consequences.
  17. And no doubt these girls, now middle aged women, whether in Toronto or elsewhere, have now made allegations. For MLB and the Jays to do this, a warrant is likely pending.
  18. You are weighing subjective data over objective?
  19. Very low end. And lazy as Profar wRC+ 1st three minor league seasons are 101, 142, 127, Wander 159, 155, 157. Profar struggled when he went up against advanced pitching. By all reports, Wander has not.
  20. Let's bring forward the lazy Profar/Wander comp in a year or so.
  21. Ok, ok, you just having a very bad week. Season just starting.
