  1. I think they’ve taken decision making away from chuckles, he’s just a clubhouse mascot now. So don’t care either way.
  2. Must get a workout getting into that vette
  3. I’ve seen nothing but positive reports on Francis. It doesn’t take much to be an upgrade on Thornton
  4. You are right about CF. As far as pitching, based on what I have seen, Jays seem to be going with some Pearson/Stripling method, maybe until the trade deadline anyway. Not a bad way to go, as long as the depth is taken care of.
  5. Hate the change for rivalry reasons, but with the universal DH, there are no league differences left, I think. Plus the change allows for travel efficiencies.
  6. vlad looks super fit, let’s get freeman
  7. Hard to say, might be another Maitan
  8. Neither, they compromise, meet in the middle for most things
  9. Neither, as long as one side sees no urgency in getting a deal done, they will play hardball and it doesn't get done. Both sides need to be motivated to get a deal Deadpool is right, April is a loser month for baseball
  10. The pressure will be sufficient for a deal around the end of the month, and baseball season will start in May All this stuff right now is just noise
  11. Jeferson Quero Cristian Hernandez
  12. Meal money included in luxury tax calculations, lol. Just stupid. Tell me again the negotiators are top drawer.
  13. Well let's hope that's the case. On both sides. I don't share your conviction, we've seen enough stupid decisions in baseball over the years.
  14. Or we see more teams signing young players to long term deals. There are different ways to do it, but the end result is more total money goes to player salaries.
  15. And the ones calling the shots? The Manfreds of the world? The one that brought in the sticky crackdown in the middle of the season? I'm not convinced its sharp lawyers, and not baseball's good old boys making the decisions here, padre.
  16. Not narcissism, just the reality that the people MLB and MLBPA have negotiating aren't the sharpest tools in the drawer.
  17. Rather than hard floor / soft or hard cap, the floor and cap could be floating depending on player salary distribution. As the salaries change the floor and cap change. So for example if the tv deals crater in the future, salaries will begin to decrease as will the floor and cap. At same time floor and cap could be soft, if a team falls below the floor or exceeds the cap, the penalty goes into the pre-arb pool. Could add some draft pick consequences for not meeting the soft floor as well. Probably too complicated for the people involved but this type of approach mitigates risk for both sides.
  18. He stomped off on his own.
  19. BORED, through a series of deals, Moncada, Brandon Morrow, and a 3rd rounder netted me: Juan Soto Josh Bell Corey Seager Not naming names.
  20. I got Soto for him, before Soto debut.
  21. Up the playoff teams to 12 or 14, the Rays cut payroll, guaranteed.
  22. He's just posting what he learned from me last week.
  23. Good memories and laughs, man
  24. Dogg disappeared when tercet did.
