  1. Corey seager although maybe not quite peak due to unrelated health issues
  2. Most likely one of bo and vlad go free agency. A concern for another day but who ends up getting extended among those 5 names is anyones guess
  3. Just take the risk on the 50 or 60 games Kirk is the DH?
  4. Y’a and I think most of us expected one of them to be moved this off-season. Maybe they have mcguire as backup and Kirk as primary DH and 3rd tier/emergency catcher given his suspect défense. This all changes when Moreno forces his way in, and in season moves happen.
  5. Ideally McGuire is only on the team until June, when Moreno gets the call Nothing wrong with Jansen, Moreno, Kirk on the team I wouldn’t be surprised to see Moreno getting 3b, c, and of reps at ST
  6. Reds, Rockies, O’s, Pirates Right order?
  7. 2022 team better except a little worse defensively
  8. Projections have him at that amount 4th of and late inning RP are the team ‘weaknesses’ right now Not really weaknesses, just if any more significant moves are made, it will be in these areas
  9. Ah f*** what is it doing on the front page Everyone checking out the jays prospects I guess
  10. Fangraphs blue jays prospects ranking came out. They’ve got Leo over Jordan
  11. Best for the O’s to emulate the Rays, with a higher payroll of course
  12. Latest Cinny move Amir Garrett for 34 yr old Mike Minor and cash Wtf
  13. I understand what you said, but my point stands. Anyone that has done multiple event probability calcs will favour the longer window. It’s pretty easy for the longer window to eclipse the short one. Like, extremely easy.
  14. I remember the Jays had a short window recently, no WS.
  15. Which is kind of what the Rays do. It would be awesome if Shatkins takes a hybrid Rays/Dodgers approach. Would be optimal, and I believe their statements line up with this approach
  16. No but if the idea is to give guys DH rest at regular intervals, put Bo at DH every 2 Ryu start or whatever, given the high percentage of Ryu grounders to left side. This is assuming Espinal is the better SS
  17. Cumulative probability >> your anecdote
  18. Espinal at SS when ryu pitching, bo to DH
  19. Bullpen best upgraded in season, if in fact necessary
  20. There are no guarantees in life, but statistically a longer window (more rolls of the dice) is more likely to result in a WS win than a short one
  21. Prefer longer window of contention, Jays are in the sweet spot right now, no point in blowing the prospects wad for a short window where just a berrios elbow injury and springer knee problem makes us also rans Longer window increases the chance of a WS winning, relatively injury free year
  22. Espinal and Biggio platoon at 2B is another big outcome of this deal. Other than Grichuk getting probably 400 AB, this team is perfectly constructed
  23. This. Hoglund easily replaceable, in 4 months time
