Issue for me is that you have to recognize he hasn't been pitching well so bringing him into a tied game wasn't something I agreed with. On the other hand, I'm often wrong. -
So what happened with the whole protest yesterday? Did Gibbons's laziness end up costing the team the game or what?

As others have already mentioned, he isn't even on the 40-man roster and doesn't need to be added for another year. I don't see the need to clog the 40-man roster even more with Norris who's already near his innings limit. Pompey might be another story since he will need to be added in the off season anyway. We'll see what happens.

Hopefully this means Norris will not be called up. Let him go home and rest for next season.

Because he didnt graduate that level. Start him at AAA then, no big deal, he's already been promoted twice without earning it, so whatever.

Review system needs to be improved so you're gonna have some growing pains. At the end of the day, they got the chance to correct a wrong call. Along the way, they missed another one, but had they gotten the original call right, they wouldn't have even been in a position to blow the 2nd one. We'll see what happens, it would be a huge win for TB and its fanboys on this forum as it would get them closer to .500 and to finishing ahead of the Jays which is their happiest of happiest outcome.

It would be BS if they took this game away from the Jays. They got the call wrong to begin with and only the replay could save their behinds from another blown call. Anyway...

I'm speculating of course. It is looking like Gose/Pillar platoon next year in CF, but we'll have to see what happens. I hope Pompey starts next year at AAA and is given more time there, but you never know with this team...
